Perfect dinner experience! The atmosphere, the ambiance, the service, the food - everything makes us want to come back! Thank you! You're awesome!
We were celebrating our anniversary at Magdalena‘s. We had a wonderful dinner, great service and romantic setting. The bread was amazing with the honey butter. We each had a salad that was fantastic with fresh ingredients. I had the crispy chicken for dinner and my husband had the Red snapper. They were both prepared wonderful. Our side dish was the roasted broccoli. That was great. we finished the night with the peach corn bread, dessert it was fantastic. We will return soon.
We had a wonderful dinner at Magdalena at The Ivy. We started with the Watermelon & Allium Salad, Summer Salad, Cheese of the Moment, and the House-Made Bread & Butter for Two—each beautifully presented and full of fresh, seasonal flavors. For mains, we enjoyed the Red Snapper and Tilgham Island Blue Catfish, paired with house-cut fries and roasted broccoli with root salsa verde, perfect accompaniments. Dessert was a sweet finish with the Upside Down Peach Cake and decadent S'mores. The food, service, and atmosphere all made for an exceptional dining experience.
Outstanding service and fantastic food at this restaurant in the historic mansion converted into The Ivy boutique hotel.
Spectacular. Vies with Charleston for title of best restaurant in Baltimore. Plates are intelligently conceived and perfectly executed, with creative and unexpected combinations—cheese dumplings with lamb bacon, clams, and squash; roasted sour cherries with fennel sabayon. Bartender is a wizard with cocktails. And the space is lovely—cozy but upscale interior and a nice courtyard with birds flirting from bushes to a small fountain.
Lovely experience! Delicious food, excellent service. Enjoyed their Sunday Tea service which was delightful.
First time visiting. Had been on my list for over 12 months...reschedule 4x. We celebrated my wife's birthday and it couldn't have been better. Magdelena was what I expected and more. Thanks for a wonderful evening. And did I mention “complementary valet” service? If the quality of each bite is meant to be savored Magdalena is for you and yours.
I enjoy myself. Some of the food was tasty. However, i ordered the steak. It was cooked to perfection but not much flavor . I had a mushroom soup that was awfully bland. My drink was perfect. I had another appetizer and a dessert that was pretty good. But it majorly lacked with seasonings.
Fantastic dinner for our anniversary! Randall was outstanding! And the cost was so low, we thought something was missing from the bill. Will definitely be back... with friends!
I always enjoy the Ivy and the service. Unfortunately I was not satisfied with the menu offerings. In the past the menu was more comprehensive and the choices more varied. My selection was a fish dish. Ok but not in line with a5 star experience.

Service started out well, seemed to be mindful of time, but ultimately took a very long time to close out our tab, and we were late for our show (there were only 3 tables seated outside, including us). She also took it upon herself to serve a pale ale, instead of an IPA, stating it was their "substitute" for an IPA, without asking. That is probably the one beer my husband does not enjoy, so it was unfortunate they did not ask if he would like something different. Ambiance was overall wonderful and a beautiful patio.
I chose Magdalena as the place to celebrate my college graduation with family, and it could not have been more perfect. The staff was so attentive and warm, the food was truly incredible, and the pacing of it all was impeccable. We spent an easy 3 hours sitting down and enjoying every bite. We particularly appreciated that for a Michelin restaurant the portions were quite filling just with a shared starter and individual entrees. I hope that I can return again to celebrate another special occasion in this exquisitely cultivated restaurant.
Fabulous fine dining experience. Service from the valet, tour guide, wait staff, bartender, and the sommelier, all were courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and responded to all menu, wine, and venue questions we asked.
Amazing service! Great food and a lovely ambiance! The staff were so gracious and gave us a warm welcome! Beautiful property!
The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely, and the service was excellent. We started with the crispy duck pressè, which tasted a bit unsophisticated.. but thankfully, the entrées saved the meal a bit. For dessert, we had the banoffee cake, and it was delightful! Great for a date night but the food is on the relatively mediocre side.
