We are in town from Detroit for the Lions v Ravens game and found this place on our search for crab cakes and lobster rolls. The food was excellent and the staff was top notch! John took care of us and told us more about the city too. Sat outside and had a great experience!

Mama's on the Half Shell is incredible. I'm traveling from out of town and will definitely come back here. Every single dish was exceptional (especially the Beer Mussels). The only thing that exceeded the quality of the food was the quality of the service. John was the best server I could ask for. His recommendations were spot-on and helped give us a 10/10 experience.

Mamas on the Half Shell absolutely delivered! The Oyster Rockefeller and Maryland Crab Soup were outstanding, packed with flavor and freshness. The Fish & Chips were perfectly crispy, the Sriracha Brussels sprouts had just the right kick, and the Rockfish topped with Crab Imperial was simply amazing.
On top of the great food, our server John was phenomenal! Hands down the best server I’ve had in ages. Friendly, attentive, and on point with everything. He made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

Disrespectful and rude service from the bartender at the Owings Mills location. We didn't expect that, because Baltimore location service and people always nice. We were very disappointed 😥
Great meal
Loved this restaurant. We tried the oysters and lamb chops which was sufficient quantity for the two of us since we weren’t super hungry. Will definitely go back to try the crab cake!
This restaurant has no sense of customer service. I ordered a drink, some oysters, garlic mussles, which were fine. I then ordered soft crab shell fried rice entree and took 1 bite and immediately asked to send it back as it was not a tasty dish. It was rather sweet with pineapples. I was told by the manager that they dont take anything off the check. And also charged me and my friend 18% gratuity for a meal I couldn't even enjoy. I even asked of i could have an appetizer instead and was still denied. Very disappointing service.
Fish and chips not to good fries where salty kids chicken fingers dry n burnt and Nats fly s. In dining room
The food and service at this location has gone down hill significantly. They apparently no longer have the potato pancake and spinach with the scallop appetizer. Instead of removing it from my carry out order, they just gave me 2 scallops, with a note apologizing for not having the pancake and spinach. I was still charged $21.60. It was also missing a scallop.
This food was so good!!! 5/5 stars!!!!!

This place was very dissatisfying. The decor, vintage doors, and wood paneling would make you believe you were eating at a high end restaurant. However, the food was bland with no flavor. If you’re are looking for traditional Maryland crab go elsewhere. This place is over priced for what they deliver.
Brunch was delicious. I believe the scrapple was deep fried and I’ll never eat it another way again. More of a bar atmosphere but the service was amazing. We will be back for brunch!

The outdoor seating is a plus and we didn’t have to smell that dirty dishwater smell inside. The service was satisfactory but the food was less than mid. We drove from DC on a recommendation and honestly it wasn’t worth the gas or effort.
