My experience, having decided to dine at Mamma Lucia's in Parkville on September 4, 2024, was SO disappointing. I am from Towson, Maryland, although I was visiting on a recent trip from Los Angeles. I always had fond memories of excellent dishes served at this location, dining there with my parents, family, or friends over the years. As a result, during my last evening in town, I looked forward to a delicious, upscale Italian entree with the fusion of authentic Italian taste and flavor. It was nothing like I had ordered before Covid pandemic, which was the last time I was there at Momma Lucia's, in about 2017. On this recent occasion, I ordered the Special, $29.99, with scallops and shrimp. First of all, my side salad, a Ceasar Salad, was not tossed. No one asked if I wanted my dressing on the side. So the croutons were kind of dry because they were not tossed into the salad dressing. the salad was all dark romaine greens, which was a plus, still the plate was not up to my expectations. No one asked how I liked my starter salad. It was about an hour before close, so it was not like the staff were in a rush or anything. So, then, my entree arrived. I had requested, instead of penne pasta, the spaghetti, which was my preference. The server dropped off this big plate stacked with enough pasta for 3 guests, and to my dismay, bland red, tomato sauce, with too little shrimp and scallops lost in the mix. the sauce looked like it was taken from the sauce can, microwaved then poured on top. I could hardly see the pasta and seafood. First of all, I thought it was going to be a cream sauce with garlic, parsley, some butter, and olive oil, lightly added to the seafood. It was not. The tomato sauce tasted like it just came out of a can, bland, and plain, no olive oil. The parmesan cheese had no texture. I proceeded to eat the entree because I felt bad, it was 29.99$, and after all, I ordered it. I was trusting this was going to be good based on prior visits. However, the entree just got worse from there. The seafood tasted kind of rubbery, or a hint of plastic. I don't know. It just tasted kind of off in the flavor category. At this point, I am thinking I could have enjoyed my Campbell's Homestyle canned soup, microwaved in my hotel room, and it would have had more taste, more fulfilling, for about $3.50. I still did not say anything, I was being polite, oh gosh. However, the lesson learned is that if there are about only two other tables of dining guests, that is my sign, the restaurant is nearly empty for a reason. So, that was my last night in Towson, and I spent way too much money for very little. No one checked back with me during this service. I get it restaurants are trying to make their budget, and I looked kind of slender, so I probably do not eat much, or I probably can do with less flavor. in any case, I am Italian-American, and for paying about $45, all said and done, most likely, I will choose another local venue next visit.

Ordered the spaghetti carbonara. Good portion size, didn't see any pancetta, was loaded with what seemed like a pack of bacon. Staff were great, great service, and clean facility.
My friends and I came here for dinner. My friend has alot of food allergies and the manager was super friendly and went out his way to make sure the food wasn't going to make him sick. He did check in with us. It makes me feel like he cares about the customer and how the food comes out. The food overall was great. Best calamari I ever had. The pizza was also delicious. I would definitely be coming back again.

They have been there for over 30 years. Their pizza and calzones are fantastic! Everything made there is higher in care and quality. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel like family I highly recommend.
I was a first time customer their on Sunday, July 28th… I will start off by saying that my family are meat eaters and haven’t had a good pizza in a long time so I got them their Meat Lovers Pizza. I am not a big French Fry eater but Mom is, so I also got an order of fries and tiramisu for dessert … I have to say this is the best carryout food that we have had in ages. We did have to drive like 12 or 15 minutes to get there from where we live, but it was so worth it! And besides that the staff, including the manager were exceptional great customer service was provided, we will definitely be going back here and I highly recommend them to you. If you haven’t tried them yet you don’t know what you’re missing!
