Marta manages to be both lively and cozy simultaneously in a rowhouse that previously housed Salt (one of my all time favorite upscale restaurants) We went for a friend's birthday, and all 3 courses were delicious, beautifully presented, inventive, and not the same old menu that you find everywhere. Very sweet wait staff was super attentive, educated about the food and wine and made great suggestions. Our original wait staff had an emergency and had to leave in the middle of service, but seamlessly another wait person stepped in to covered us. Kudos to the front of house team for handling with such skill and ease. But the food was definitely the star of the show. For me, the standout was the tuna cannoli. I'm not even sure I can do justice to this deliciousness with a crunchy outer "cannoli" shell with a slight hint of sweet surrounding a creamy center of tuna crudi with little dots of avocado cream. And all was covered with a pistachio "dust." The spicy meatballs were delectable nestled in a cloud of creamy spicy ricotta. And the Duck and Foie Gras Panzotti (little triangle ravioli) was creamy, delicious and the perfect combination of delicate tastes. And the Tiramisu Affogato ended the dinner on a delicious note! And for two people with drinks it was really pretty a good deal for the quality if the food, service and location. We will be back! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5
Disgusting food that is cold and raw. I didn't come here for sushi.
Amazing food and great service! Only downsides are it's so loud and noisy and tables are too close from each other. This is the reason I put 4 stars. Food is 5 stars. Try the tiramisu, its amazing!

Went here with my dining partner. It's not huge, and parking can be a nuisance.
Drinks were tasty, but LIGHT on the alcohol content.
The meatballs were small, but good.
Branzino still had the bones in it. We were told that 1 chef removes the bones and 1 doesn't, so check on that when you order.
I think there's a time limit at tables, but they were GRACIOUS in how they invited us to take a seat at the bar.
Two single stall restrooms.
Overall, we were pleased and will be back to try the other entrées that our server recommended.
Don't go with your cheap friends!
Parking: You're on your own for street parking, good luck because it's in a residential area
Wheelchair accessibility: I don't recall a way to get inside, but there is outdoor dining for those who can't do steps

The food and the service at Marta was pretty good. The staff was friendly and our waiter, Allister, was great!!! He gave recommendations of common ordered items, explained ingredients, and was very knowledgeable about the menu.
We ordered the Campanelle pasta and Branzino for our entrees and meatballs for our appetizer - all were delicious and prepared quickly.
Parking was difficult but expected. Also, no stars lowered for this, but the slice of cake was a lot smaller than expected, albeit delicious.
Parking: Park on Patterson Park and walk down is probably easiest.

Was excited to try this place but I feel like it’s overhyped. Waited a while (15mins) to be seated into our table. Cute ambiance and loud. Service was ok. We told them it was a birthday celebration and didn’t receive anything special.
Meatballs cacio e pepe: 2/5
Campanelle , fave dish!! So creamy and full of umami flavors. Pasta perfectly cooked
Scallop , scallops cooked to perfection
Opera cake: 2/5, flavors good, not a fan of texture
Strawberry panna cotta: 3/5

Woke up thinking about the food from last night. A true 5 star experience
My family planned a grand bday celebration at another restaurant and when we showed up they abruptly told us that our reservation for 9 had been cancelled! Hungry and frustrated I made a call to Marta knowing that a walk in party of 9 was a tall ask. Not only did they go out of their way to accommodate us, Matthew treated us with kindness, enthusiasm, and expert service. Tue hospitality! Every dish was sublime and cocktails were perfectly balanced. Already thinking about the next meal!

Marta is an absolute delight! The food, drinks, and wait service are all incredible - highlights include the Duck and Foie Graz Panzotti, Bistecca con salsa verde, and the Opera cake. Our drinks were also great - one was an old fashioned type and the other was a fig cocktail, but I don’t have the names. Our waiter, Greeta was knowledgeable and friendly, and we had a great time! Compliments to the chef and entire staff!

We were so excited to return to Marta after a great experience a couple months ago. Unfortunately, this one left a sour taste in our mouths. We felt rushed from the get go, asked for orders immediately upon being seated. Then, 90 mins after our reservation time, after being eyed up and down by the hostess repeatedly, a woman we hadn’t previously met interrupted our conversation and asked if we’d move to the bar. We found this to be incredibly intrusive and off putting. This is our night out. We ordered two appetizers, a bottle of wine and two entrees. I would hope wed get time to enjoy them. We used to praise this place but will not be back or recommend to friends due to the severe awkwardness and pressure.

Amazing staff that were super welcoming. Atmosphere was fun, but a little loud. Food was incredible.
Appetizers - Whipped Ricotta with truffle honey was unreal. Caesar salad was delicious - best one I’ve had in a while. So much Parmesan and the seasoning was perfect.
Agnolotti was great. Fresh pasta dish with snap peas and ramp butter.
Duck and Foie Gras Panzotti was delicious too. The cherries added a nice sweetness.
Finished off with a panna cotta that was decent. Reminded me of the strawberry shortcake ice cream bars.
Definitely going to come back.

We finally tried out Marta after meaning to for a while and it was well worth it! The food was delicious and flavorful and the dishes offered unique takes on dishes you might find in other restaurants. I will say that it is quite loud in Marta, and hard to understand the server and even your table mate. It took us a while to get used to, because sound just kind of disappears from your mouth to across the table, but once we got into the swing of things we made it work.
I really enjoyed my Pear cocktail, which was the perfect blend of spirits and sweetness. The Caesar salad was delicious and quite heavy. It was loaded up with cheese and a large parmesan crisp, but the flavors were well balanced and it felt like a refined take on a Caesar salad. My fiance enjoyed the sheep's milk ricotta appetizer. For entrees we got the Ziti Bolognese and the Rockfish respectively. We both LOVED our entrees! The Rockfish dish was full of incredible flavors and seasoning, and my fiance reported that the Bolognese was also very flavorful and he especially enjoyed the texture of the ziti.
We were too full to try anything else, but we're already looking forward to returning to try more!

We had a wonderful lunch experience at Marta. I tried the restaurant when it first opened and wasn’t impressed— but this visit was 100% a redemption! We all loved our pastas and the service was great
