I grew up going to Lexington Market with my grandmother and our first stop would normally be here. The shrimp salad was the go to item and the corn beef sandwich. I'm definitely gonna miss this place. Best regards to the owner Mr. Elliot.
Good food
two days ago was the first time we went to this fine restaurant. But It is no doubt not the last time. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the finest meal and fine drinks and with the friendly pay. We will definitely come back again.
Shrimp salad on rye bread with lettuce, tomato, a little onion and a sliced pickle on the side....one of my favorites since childhood.

Overpriced.Taking advantage of Ebt card users. Food not as good since Sonny stopped cooking for them.
Mary Mervis has not operated in good faith. A manager (who is a legal representative) was asked to donate to a childrens book fair...he agreed. He asked for 501c3 info which was submitted along with ID. Upon calling back I was very rudely spoken to and tried to be dismissed by the owner. He told me "I ain't donating nuthin"!!!!!! He told me to make the manager who I spoke with to pay out his pockets! NEEDLESS TO SAY!!! Our network which is over 5,000 strong will no longer do business with Mary Mervis. We WILL be doing radio spots and WILL let the public know of Mary Mervis's practices.
I just had a taste for a chicken salad sandwich.I havent been there for a long while..and after buying the sandwich it was horrible i should of samples it first.
I had the best Shrimp Salad Sandwich from here they delivered it to St. Agnes Hospital I would get 1 for Chuck n take it home for him. He really licked it too.
