One of my favorite places in Baltimore! Good food, friendly staff! Highly recommend. Lots of people to talk to.

This cafe is no longer in business. I have gone by several times and it is always closed.

Food is SUPER good, especially the Turkey sandwich. Staff is very friendly. They now also offer CBD products

Really disappointed after paying for parking they're closed. Website states open til 1am although Google search say 9pm. Nonetheless weren't open at 2pm.

Disappointed to spend $6 on an egg sandwich that was on white toast with processed bacon. Really wanted the nicer bagel sandwiches I'd seen, not sure what changed.

I would have given this place a two-star for their food and drink only, but they earned a star for the ambiance and spirit of the place. It has good music and art all along the walls. Some even made by the local elementary school kids! They also had board games and a small book nook. Other than that, I was a little disappointed especially because I'd been trying to come here for a while but their hours were either posted incorrectly or unpredictable. As far as their fare--their espresso machine is still broken and their menu was already small as is. I got a regular. coffee but there wasn't any milk/cream out that I could use. There weren't any donuts on display. The bagel was okay but a little stingy on the cream cheese. And the coffee bar looked a little forgotten about. Also, it was uncomfortably hot and stuffy in the place. Overall, I think this place is a hit or miss. Reading some of the other reviews I think the place needs a little more consistency to bring it up to par with other venues, but I believe they'll get there.

me and my boyfriend, both 27, had a great time. i was feeling a little stressed and he recommended taking me out. we stumbled across melody cafe where they had a great live band playing and i was able to get a bacon egg and cheese bagel at 730 at night. best woosaw moment i could have slipped into

Stopped by this afternoon for a latte and a place to work. I really wanted to like this cute new spot, but their already-limited menu was made even smaller by the fact that the espresso machine was broken (goodbye lattes and cappuccinos) and they just didn't have any of the baked goods listed on their menu (farewell bagels and muffins). Was disappointed by the range of offerings, but the coffee was good and there was plenty of seating.

Melody is a great cafe! Black-owned and efficient! My best friend has an event called the T.A.R. Pit Showcase every month, highlighting Baltimore artists. The owners are incredibly supportive and interactive. The whole space is a vibe! Great art on the walls, good music, and great people!

Of the places we stopped by in the neighborhood on our hunt for the best bagel around, this was the only one that had bagels made right here in Baltimore. The bagel was a bit small and very dense, but we were still licking the cream cheese off the tin foil at the end!

As far as cute little cafes are concerned, Melody has all of the perks. It's in Mount Vernon which is a rich location for great shops and the cafe is cozy and has wonderful music to relax and enjoy. I came here for a book club meeting and it had the perfect ambiance. The freshly made donuts and coffee fill the air with the aroma you want and love in a cafe.
