I have been going to Mindpub nearly weekly for the past year. Today was the last. My order was wrong, so it was sent back to have a toasted GF bagel as ordered. When it came back, it was cold. I have never returned or complained about food at Mindpub, so I felt miserable having to send it back to be edible. It came out perfect. My friend frequently has issues with cold food coming out and asks for things to be re-toasted. We overhear the owner talking loudly about us. She comes back to the table and tells us that we aren’t the right fit for their business. We got kicked out and ridiculed because the kitchen was unable to deal with their shortcomings. On top of this, the guy that took our order said that I frequently return my food. When I discussed this with him, he replied, “that’s not how I remember it”.
Looking back at the reviews, I’m expecting the owner to come back with a snarky quip about how I’m delicate, offended easily, or “have a stupid hairstyle”. That’s fine. I value small businesses and I appreciate the treasures they are in a community. Hopefully the owner and misinformed/confused waitstaff would consider their customers the same.

Vibes are immaculate! Definitely good prices for the quality you’re getting. The only somewhat down thing about this place is that it closes so early on week days. Highly recommend!

I have been here twice now and I love it! A lot of the dishes can be made GLUTEN FREE. Prices are a bit high but it is a local place. It is a very cute cafe and place to get lunch. The decorations are cohesive and there are a lot of plants, very cozy feel.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free roll, fries, and fried chicken.

This place is AMAZING! I was so incredibly excited to find out that they have a whole bunch of gluten-free stuff, safe for CD! The building is beautiful, the staff is super kind and helpful. Love the ambiance. If you haven't been here, you've got to check it out.

This is exactly what you want out of a neighborhood coffee spot. Welcoming and cozy with great coffee and food! This has become my go-to café and I don't see that changing.
Wheelchair accessibility: One of the few row house restaurants that has added an accessibility ramp.

I go here at least once a week; either to work or bring out of town folks for great food. My husband and I live nearby and found this place to be the best cafe. The staff are fun and quirky, the music is great, and the food is spectacular!
Kid-friendliness: There's a little nook on the first floor for folks with little ones to use, there's a baby gate and toys so you can keep your kids and friends close.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp to the right side of the entrance.

I spend a lot of time traveling and working from Coffee Shops and Mindpub stands out from ALL the rest. The staff is as friendly and genuine as they come. Originally from the area but coming back for a visit - I needed a nice breakfast cafe where I could grab a bite and knock some work out of the way. Candidly, this place checks all the boxes someone could want if searching for a good cup of coffee, fresh breakfast sandwiches, and a makeshift office. Ill even add that there are PLENTY of outlets to charge your electronics. The place was busy enough to know that the locals frequent this particular spot - but somehow the service was always better than experienced at many of restaurants.
Weather youre from the Baltimore area or visiting this is a must see place and somewhere ill be coming back to every time I visit!
Wheelchair accessibility: they have a ramp on the side of the building!

I don’t write bad reviews towards a workplace cause frankly I just couldn’t care most of the time.
On Saturday April 27, 2024 I went here for my first time with my girlfriend. We ordered our food, sat down, had our drinks and ate our bagel sandwiches.
The food was ok, the coffee was ok. the atmosphere was nice Until the owner talked to me like I was a five year old for throwing my trash away and leaving the tin trays they use on top of the trash bin.
She stopped me saying “oh no let’s try this again.” And proceeds to speak down to me for not seeing the piece of paper with a handwritten “DISHES” above the trash with a drawn arrow that pointed to a set of stairs to a dark corner with a sink.
I comply and put the dishes where they are supposed to go according to the paper sign. but she still continued to berate me for a very simple mistake.
Hopefully no one else has to endure that type of embarrassment at 8 in the morning when all they are trying to do is enjoy some food and coffee.
The owner definitely needs an attitude check when dealing with customers.

I finally tried this place after driving past it weekly for years, and I wish I had stopped by sooner! The Darwin (brie, bacon, egg, apple jam) is so delicious - a great mix of salty and sweet, and the way the cheese melts is perfect. I'm obsessed. My iced latte was very good, as well. I'm already dreaming of my next visit!
We have gone here each time we are in Baltimore for doctors visits, we actually went because it was pet friendly but this last time we were there our pooch wasn’t allowed beyond the door. Don’t know what changed but it’s disappointing. The food and staff are great but we no longer have a reason to drive out of our way for it. Best wishes!

Excited to try this place. Waited 15 minutes and my beeper went off, I went to the window and only received part of my order but my beeper was taken away. I asked where my bagel was and the cashier became confused and gave my beeper back. I waited over 30 minutes and never received an order. I’m pretty sure it was given to someone else but was told by the woman in the window it wasn’t ready yet. I just went inside and got a refund so we’ll see if I get my money back. A waste of my time. I was late to my appointment and won’t be back unless they train their staff better and have a better operation for the takeout window. I’d rather take the trip to Sam’s on light street.
