So let's get this out the way... there was a long time to get our dishes and it has an atmosphere that doesn't seem too catered to sit-down. Also, I was very disappointed in the fried chicken. Its exterior was fried too hard despite a juicy interior.
But I can't really give this place less than 5 stars because the rest of the food was just that good and it was well worth the wait. Smothered turkey wings and yams were some of the best I've had out of these soul food spots in Bmore. Mac and cheese and collared greens were also delicious.
Highly recommend if you have patience. I will certainly be returning.

My family and I decided to visit Miss Carter’s as soon as it opened on Sunday, 11-9-25 after seeing it go viral online, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The waitress never introduced herself or greeted us and came across as extremely rude. We ended up leaving because of how uncomfortable the service felt. Regardless of popularity, respect and professionalism matter, and that was completely missing during our visit.

I had a reservation today at 5:15pm to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday. We walked in at exactly 5:15pm. We stood at the door waiting to be greeted or seated but after waiting for about 5 minutes we left because no one ever said anything to us. Im very disappointed especially after driving 1:30 from southern Maryland to get here. This isn’t going to ruin my son’s birthday. Luckily I know of all the good food spots in Baltimore so we’re headed to another spot. I will never patronize here or recommend this spot to anyone. Black people yall need to do better in the customer service department. Do not believe Instagram hype talk to Angie’s or Papis I go 🚗💨

I could not believe my family and I stood for ten minutes waiting on someone to approach us when we entered. No one came to greet us or guide us, give direction. I decided to leave because I also did not see anyone with any food on their tables! I left maybe I will try again at a later time

I found this place as my brother and I were going to see a play by August Wilson at The Everyman's theater. Some reviews stated that the food is nasty, however I'm going to say that those reviews are wrong. The food was very tasty. I had the lamb chops which was well seasoned, and seasoned to the point that you want to suck the bone. I also had the sweet potatoes and a lot of times when you eat them, they taste like they are from the can. But these were sweet. Not overly sweet, but just right, leaving a good flavor in your mouth. In addition, the collard greens were definitely good and had a little kick to it. So, I definitely would say give the place a chance because for soul food - this place hit the mark. The only disappointment, no turkey wings available.

In my Ving Rhames voice from BabyBoy: “Naw baby he (they) need to hear this “. The Whiting A+++ was the best my wife (NYC) has ever had (FL,DC,NY,TX,GA) the collard greens were good and Mac cheese held solid A-. I had the Honey Jerk Lamb chops not as beef as I would like but seasoned tastefully with the right heat solid A-. The rice was great and the sweet potatoes were on the candied sweet side B+, so no dessert needed 🙂. We will order again. Overall this was 5stars especially looking for a Papi’s Cuisine replacement (closed). Well done Miss Carter!!!

I ordered the salmon and crab cake platters with mac & cheese and yams. While the presentation was a 10/10, overall the salmon and crab cake lacked flavor. The sides were pretty good, which made the dish a 5/10. The ambience was nice, but I won’t be returning.

We placed an order through DoorDash which was accepted and we were notified that the order was ready for pickup a couple minutes later. When I arrived, not only was I told that the order was cancelled on the spot but there was zero communication whatsoever until I had already made my way down there to pick it up. As if that wasn't enough, they marked the order as complete which charged us full price for our food that we didn't even get despite our order being accepted. This is completely unacceptable and a waste of time and money on every front. Absolute fraud at its finest.

Ordered food & was told 25 minutes. Got there a half later and had to wait extra 15 minutes. Asked for a drink or something for my wait & of course was denied. They need more people working on the floor to help waiter.

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had . I always go to soul food places and get dishes I specialize in . And usually the chicken isn’t seasoned. It was bussin . Baked mac is usually over cook or under cooked . It was slapping . And the potato salad taste like my mom was still alive . And the adult beverages was on point. Amanda and Tasha’s service was A1 . The next time I’m in bmore I will be back .

The experience was a 10/10. My server nick was so kind and so accommodating, he even played MeganTheeStallion for me. I got a chicken and shrimp alfredo with broccoli drizzled with jerk sauce and it was so good! I also got a cocktail called “the one”, with a lil lemonade added it was perfect. The atmosphere was hella chill too so I’ll definitely be back.
