The way this business is run is extremely unprofessional and dismissive. I placed a Grubhub order, my money was taken, and I was given a time when my order would be ready. I went to the restaurant only to find out their app was down, so they never received the order. There was no customer service support on how to fix the issue—I had to keep trying to find a solution myself and ended up placing the order again in the restaurant since I was already there.
It took an hour for the food to come out, and when it finally did, it sat on the counter for 10 minutes before they packed it and handed it to me. I even had to prompt them to see if that was my order so it could be packed. I missed a reservation to my other plans due to the insane wait time and inconvenience this restaurant gave me. Even if the food tastes good, I won’t be coming back or recommending this place.

The location is downtown Baltimore on a gritty city block, so it’s helpful to know that going in if you’re not used to an urban setting. Once inside, though, the atmosphere completely changes. The interior is stylish, cozy, and romantic, with a DJ, a relaxed grown crowd, and hookah available at the table, which really adds to the lounge vibe.
Food-wise, we ordered the stuffed chicken breast, mac and cheese, greens, yams, salmon, and lump crab meat. Overall, the flavors were good. The greens, yams, salmon, and lump crab stood out the most. The stuffed chicken breast was flavorful, though the bottom was a bit overcooked, and the mac and cheese could’ve been creamier — still enjoyable, just not perfect.
Nick was our waiter and he was awesome — friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the start.
This isn’t a chain restaurant or a tourist spot. It’s a local place with personality, good music, and a lounge-style atmosphere. We’d come back.

I was very disappointed. $60 for a lamp chop combo and the portion was very small. The crab cake that came with it was cool in size, but every bite had a freezer or refrigerator taste to it. One server apologize but when she said she would tell her manager on duty, she never said anything to me. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I'm mad I had to give one star bc they wouldn't have gotten that.

I went to Miss Carters and I’m highly disappointed. There was no structure to the restaurant. I ordered the Cajun Salmon, greens, and yams. I waited over an hour to get my food (an hour and 20 minutes to be exact). I was distraught because a group of 4 walked in after I ordered and was served 30 mins before I got my food. When I asked what was taking so long since it was just me, I was told to just wait because she’s not down there in the kitchen and don’t know what’s going on. Once I finally got my food, the rice was cold, salmon was lukewarm, dry, and wasn’t anything Cajun about it! Greens were lukewarm as well. I definitely will not be coming back.

After placing our order, we waited over an hour for our food, only to be told that the kitchen was out of crab cakes and would need additional time to prepare more. This information was not shared until after the long wait, which was frustrating and unacceptable.
At that point, we never received our food at all. No alternatives were offered in a timely manner, and there was little effort made to address the situation or apologize for the inconvenience. The lack of communication and accountability significantly impacted the experience.
While I’ve heard good things about the food, service like this overshadows everything else. Waiting an hour without transparency and leaving without being served is not an experience I would recommend. I hope management addresses these issues to prevent this from happening to other customers.

My husband and I went here on a date night after seeing this TikTok raving about the place so we were really excited, however, we left extremely disappointed. Ill start by saying the vibe was great, the place is really cute though it is small. Service wasn't the greatest unfortunately, they were nice but it was sooooo slow and they dont really come back to check on you. I think honestly this is better as a take out spot and not eat in. We waited about an hour for the food, we ordered an appetizer (mozzarella sticks)that came out after our main course. I ordered a medium NY strip steak and had to send it back because it was very well done and tbh I dont even think the cut was a NY strip, but I could be wrong🤷🏽♀️. We were give plastic utensils that i had to carefully use to cut through my tough steak. They forgot my rice and when I did get it, it tasted like the bottom of the pan rice thats a little hard and soft. I ordered the Cornbread and was excited to try it but it just wasnt what i was expecting and didnt meet my expectations. I say the best thing I ate was the Yams, I love me a good candied yam. Overall I give it 2 stars, we wont be going back. The couple next to us asked if it was worth the wait, this was their first time visiting too and they were approaching the 1 hour mark as well, ill tell yall like I told them no its not. However, try it for yourself, maybe this was an off night and youll have a different experience.

So let's get this out the way... there was a long time to get our dishes and it has an atmosphere that doesn't seem too catered to sit-down. Also, I was very disappointed in the fried chicken. Its exterior was fried too hard despite a juicy interior.
But I can't really give this place less than 5 stars because the rest of the food was just that good and it was well worth the wait. Smothered turkey wings and yams were some of the best I've had out of these soul food spots in Bmore. Mac and cheese and collared greens were also delicious.
Highly recommend if you have patience. I will certainly be returning.

The waitress never introduced herself or greeted us and came across as extremely rude. We ended up leaving because of how uncomfortable the service felt. Regardless of popularity, respect and professionalism matter, and that was completely missing during our visit.

I had a reservation today at 5:15pm to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday. We walked in at exactly 5:15pm. We stood at the door waiting to be greeted or seated but after waiting for about 5 minutes we left because no one ever said anything to us. Im very disappointed especially after driving 1:30 from southern Maryland to get here. This isn’t going to ruin my son’s birthday. Luckily I know of all the good food spots in Baltimore so we’re headed to another spot. I will never patronize here or recommend this spot to anyone. Black people yall need to do better in the customer service department. Do not believe Instagram hype talk to Angie’s or Papis I go 🚗💨
