Visited Miss Carters Place for the first time with my wife and son. You can sear yourself, when they aren't busy. The place was smaller than I expected. No big deal. I ordered the fish and shrimp wrap with fries. I also had yams, collard greens, and potato salad as sides. My wife had stuffed lamb chops with greens and yams and our son had lamb chops with Mac and cheese and fries. My fish and shrimp was fried, so the wrap probably would have been better if they were grilled. I don't think there were many shrimp in the wrap either. The lamb chops were really small for the price, but were very well prepared. My wife and son enjoyed them. Wish they were bigger. All in all, the service was above average and we'll be going back. I'm hoping I can have the fish and shrimp grilled next time.

I did take out, the atmosphere was really chill, kind of dark but yet cozy. There is only street parking and it's downtown so I had to park and walk. I got the lamb, I paid about $40 but it was just ok. Not bad but it could have been better.

There was a staff member (possibly owner, judging by her careless attitude) she was extremely rude to a carry out driver!! She was doing everything on her own. Bar, host, server, cashier ā¦. Which makes me think this place is up-charging their customers but pocketing every penny!! People are sick of long waits, tasteless food and rude staff/ 1 staff? DO BETTER!

So I came in for a carry out order, when I arrived the price was different than displayed online. I got the fried shrimp with Mac and yams also I got stuffed lamb with crab, Mac and broccoli. Lambs chops ok the crab cake was dry and so was the macaroni and cheese. It was giving the bottom of the pan, but not the good kind. The yams were just sweet no flavor just sweet. The broccoli and the fried shrimp were the best of the $100 dinner. Nice try but will not be returning.

I have never liked lamb, until I was forced to taste Miss Carter's garlic and herb lamb chops. DELICIOUS!!! Tender, flavorful, did I mention DELICIOUS? I never knew that lamb could taste like that. I cleaned that chop down to the bone and begged for more like a spoiled dog at the dinner table. The food that I ordered was also yummy- shrimp, whiting, greens, top tier mac and cheese, but that lamb chop was a revelation. If I could give more stars, I would!

Amazing place, terrible service. It should never take over 50 minutes to make a wrap and fries, Amandaās attitude was impolite and lackluster to add. It was not busy evening at all when I arrived , only one couple that was dining in, so what was promised 20 mins tops turned into almost a hour. Me as a guest I should not have to inquire about when my food should be ready, however I did and she mentioned that it was āthe wrap that was taking a minute to be doneā a salmon and shrimp wrap takes 50 minutes? So when me and my friend sat down at the table , she redirected us to the front and said āonly people dining in are able to sit in the dining areaā , okay, thatās fine even though it was 2 people dining in, I didnāt entertain the idea of that remark.
It was my second time coming here and the first time wasnāt the best but I love to support black owned businesses so I thought to give Miss carters a second chance . It sucks that the professionalism was terrible, however the food? Pat Yall selves on the back, however I wonāt be back.

I had the turkey wings with collard greens and cornbread, and I can honestly say every single bite was perfection. The turkey wings were tender, seasoned just right, and fall-off-the-bone delicious. The collard greens had that slow-cooked flavor, and the cornbread? Moist, golden, with a little sweetness.
My husband ordered the lemon pepper fried whiting, mac and cheese, and yamsāand I almost regretted not getting the same. The fish was crispy and flavorful, the mac was delicious, and the yams were sweet, buttery, and downright addictive.
While the inside may not be appealing, the food and service we received overshadowed it. Weāll definitely eat there again!

I've been dying to try this place I was told about, so we went this past Sat July 19th. First what a cute decided spot, I took several pics. There was 1 super server, doing drinks, taking orders & bringing us our food. I will say we waited a bit, and the prices were a bit high for my husband's taste but I believe like everything today, people are increasing to make ends meet. The lemon pepper whiting was superb. Seasoned so well, yams & Mac n cheese were also so good! And the city girl drink was so good. Enjoyed our night a lot.

If I could give 0 stars I would. First of all the hours are all wrong on Google , ALL WRONG it says closing hours are at 11:30 / 11 NO they close at 10pm. TRAVELING ALL THE WAY FROM DC I came at 10pm and was told they are closed. Iām confused because on google it says 11:30. So I let it slide and came another day.. a few days later, knowing that I will be out later in the night I CALLED asking what time the kitchen closes and was told at 9:30ā¦. Why I get there at 9:20 and was told THEY ARE CLOSED . Huh????? Why???? I specifically called asking what time the kitchen closes and was told at 9:30. IM COMING ALL THE WAY FROM DC SO I THINK YOU CAN UNDERSTAND MY FRUSTRATION RIGHT NOW. I had talk to the manager all I got was stupid useless excuses. The manager knows the hours are all wrong as well, why not put up a sign on your door stating the REAL HOURS? I told her this and she says oh Iām going to talk to someone and we do the immediately we have been having this problem a lot with other people , um what?
