Exceptional! The service here could not be better. The staff truly cares about what and how they serve. The color code game is especially fun to play and is quite unique to get a future coffee discount. This place had a continuous stream of visitors on a Sunday AM. It has to be one the best coffee shops in Baltimore! ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

Absolutely delicious, perfect little coffee shop. I had an iced vanilla latte with vanilla cold foam. Not too sweet or too strong, and doesn’t taste artificial and chemical like some low quality shops. I also had the fiesta black bean wrap and WOW. Hubs and I were sad when it was gone. It was so good and made fresh at their other location, not frozen and warmed up from some commercial supplier. Anytime we are back in Baltimore, this is the coffee shop we will go to. Also, the staff are super friendly and personable.

What a cool little coffee shop! As I walked in I realized they were just 10 minutes from closing. I hate doing that, but I was desperate for some caffeine! Not to worry, their service was friendly from the minute I walked in until I walked out a happy man with a quad shot iced americano. Very smooth coffee too, btw. I will be on a work project nearby for several months and I already know this will be one of my "go-to" places.

Awesome place! I went and was happily surprised. Sometimes these places can have an “air” of better-than-you types, but this is not that place! Not only was the place itself very inviting, with a good amount of seating inside (tables, couch) but the staff was super lovely! I had never been there before but the barista was so kind to give suggestions on the menu. They have tons of coffee and pastries (muffins, breads, etc). I ordered a coffee off their “seasonal” menu which was pretty yummy, but the cinnamon roll was delicious! They have a microwave you can heat the pastries up yourself with. Overall, the vibe was nice and calm. Although the store got very busy around mid-morning.
Wheelchair accessibility: They had a very easy entrance that you can navigate with a wheelchair, or any accessibility device.

My son and I visited on a Sunday morning. The in side seating area had 6 small tables and 2 high tables accompanied by a sofa. I want to come back in the spring when they open the two garage doors on the dining room for expanded outdoor seating. It was early (8:30), so there was no line, and the delightful staff of 3 even included the owner (Tyler). I like knowing the owner is active in local businesses. She seemed to have a good relationship with them, and they with her. I had probably one of the best chi latte ever! We also won a discount for our next visit by guessing the color on our cup sleeves. FUN! On a separate visit, I will check out the barbershop that has an entrance in the dining area. They have a nice selection of branded items such as coffee mugs, shirts, and candles

Went here for a quick breakfast and it was so freaking good! Don’t know what kind of white sauce they put in the bag but it was AMAZING on my egg & cheese croissant. Lol planning my next trip already because I have to have more .. I plan on ordering a coffee or tea next time too 😎

I found this establishment after driving throughout Baltimore city looking for a coffee shop where I could get an iced oat milk Matcha latte and feel safe doing do.
I was a bit torn as I left my review. My inclination is to give them three stars. But it was clean, bright, and had a friendly welcoming vibe.
The issue was that after not having eaten a bite all day, I was very underwhelmed with the cinnamon roll, which was dry and crunchy like something that you would expect from a vending machine.
The Matcha itself deserves one star because the milk that they used literally tasted like milk from the bottom of a sugary cereal bowl— It was undrinkable and I had to throw it away. Thus, I had nothing to drink on my hourlong drive home.
The positive review is because the barista was very friendly had a cool welcoming vibe and the coffee place itself was in one of the nicer areas of Baltimore and I actually felt safe walking from my car to the door.
Finally, the shop had run out of honey, and they seemed very unconcerned, which I find to be very weird since honey is a stable of any reputable coffee shop.

Morning Mugs isn’t a coffee shop—it’s a purgatorial waiting room where caffeine is served with a side of existential despair. Step inside, and you’re greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the silent screams of every broken dream in the city. The baristas? Oh, they’re not just slinging drinks—they’re orchestrating your slow march toward caffeine-fueled self-awareness. Their cheerful “How are you today?” isn’t small talk; it’s an opportunity to reflect on how bad things have really gotten.
The decor is best described as *post-apocalyptic chic*. The dim lights flicker just enough to make you wonder if you’re still alive, and the mismatched furniture looks like it was looted from a condemned asylum. The chalkboard wall serves as a community confessional, covered in messages like *“Espresso is cheaper than therapy”* and *“This cold brew slapped harder than my existential crisis.”* Every corner of the shop feels like it’s daring you to sit down and face your demons—or at least pay for a refill.
And the coffee? Let’s just say it doesn’t “wake you up” so much as it drags you back from the brink, kicking and screaming. The cold brew is essentially rocket fuel, brewed with tears and the faint echoes of life’s worst decisions. The espresso? It hits so hard you’ll start questioning your life choices before the cup even cools down. The house blend is rumored to be made from beans roasted over the burning remnants of your will to live—but hey, it’s fair trade, so you’ve got that going for you.
Morning Mugs isn’t just a coffee shop; it’s a performance piece about the futility of existence. Come for the caffeine, stay for the crushing realization that life is a never-ending cycle of waking up, getting coffee, and trying not to cry in public. And whatever you do, don’t order the *“Double Shot of Regret.”* It’s not on the menu for a reason, and no one who’s tried it has ever made it out without a story—or a restraining order.
So, welcome to Morning Mugs: where the coffee is strong, the baristas are stronger, and your will to keep going is weaker than ever. Have a great day—if you can.

Nice neighborhood coffee shop in federal hill with some outdoor seating and a cool garage door setup inside. The team is friendly and we enjoyed the vanilla latte and chai latte with oat and almond milk, respectively. We also shared a blueberry muffin that was wonderful. One of the team had the same name as me haha. Recommended!

Disappointed in the food but overall decent experience. A little pricey for quality of food. Not a place I'd go out of my way to come back to.
