Best punk bar in Baltimore. Seen plenty of large and small bands here over the years and it's always a great time.

Great place to listen to live music

Great experience overall! Bands were awesome, and the venue was so cool! However, it does get VERY HOT inside, they have free cold water and a bunch of fans to help with that. Floor gets very wet and slippery, but none the less amazing experience, and I will be back.

Loved this place. Great vibes and a great place to see a show. I was visiting from out of town and ended up going several times just to hang out. Definitely worth checking out if you're in town.

This place used to be more fun. Now, a kind of managerial rudeness or callousness sometimes emerges that makes me feel less inclined to return. Once, I was sharing a table with a stranger (one has to do this sometimes, and that’s fine), but she’d had a lot to drink and went to sleep on the table. I went to find a manager to tell them about the girl. “Quick! Get her out of here!” was the response I got. It was really cold outside, but the people at my table roused her and got her home address out of her, then got an Uber for her.

Not sure what would have happened to her if we hadn’t done this.

Also, the karaoke DJ has his equipment set up in such a way that a singer can’t move very far from where the karaoke table is, but there are no signs saying this. During my performance, the DJ came right up to me mid-song and shouted, “If you move any closer to that speaker, I’ll cut your mic!” This seemed kind of harsh. I couldn’t hear any feedback or other odd sounds where I was standing. I had had only a single glass of wine to drink, but I felt like I was being treated like a drunk, if that makes sense.

It would have been so easy to put up signs or to have told singers at the beginning of the night to let people know where to stand.

Relatively small venue for live performances. Ok neighborhood, not outrageous prices

It was an amazing experience visiting the Ottobar. Coming from out of town I didn't know what to expect and they definitely have done an awesome job keeping the punk scene alive and well in the Baltimore area
