Ottobar is great. Watch out for the pool demon who lurks the corners.

Simply put; The best concert venue in all of Maryland. The best sound, on-site free parking, and an extremely intimate setting for your favorite up and coming musicians. There is no other. The Ottobar is your end-game concert venue.

Great place to see indie rock, punk rock, and intimate shows with national touring musical acts. 350 capacity. Efficient bar. Great sound system. Staff will keep you safe. It's all about the live music here. No frills. No frills needed... really.Parking: Best to Uber or Lyft to. Parking lot out back is gone now. Reasonable amount of free street parking on Howard and surrounding cross streets.

The bartenders are incredible and provide good service, however security is very rude and does not know how to speak to customers. I understand that the bar closes at 2 am but there is no reason for security to yell in my face when I asked them if it was cool for me to wait for friends and what time they closed. It was only 1:40 a.m. and the security (light skinned man) yelled and was very disrespectful to everyone in the establishment. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I honestly wouldn’t go back, if this how their staff speaks to people.

Came here from Jersey for the Indigo De Souza concert and it was amazing!! The venue was small and intimate and everyone who works here is so sweet! Our bartender Grant was very efficient and kind! Made the best drinks all night! Also shoutout to Randy (stage name “Candy”) for also having such great energy! Overall, the entire experience was memorable, comfortable, and easy-going. Highly recommend for a chill and exciting night out! The music in the bar/club upstairs was fire and the vibe was perfect! Whether you are in town or from out-of-town definitely check this place out!!!

My favorite music venue in Baltimore. Great staff and crowd.

Had an extremely positive experience at this venue. My partner and I visited for a queer event that is specifically for queer individuals. We were a bit concerned when we arrived and there was a group of men who were very inebriated and acting a fool waiting in line with us. They seemed to be local college kids who were not part of the community and would've been very disruptive inside. The bouncer turned them away at the door. I was very impressed with him for protecting the queer space! Also, the drinks are cheap and staff is friendly. Great venue!

Bought tickets for emo night and couldn't hear what the guy at the front said and want upstairs to find my friend. Her BF was up there and told us to follow him to find out friend downstairs and immediately we get kicked out of the place, no explanation and they threatened to call the cops when we asked. I never cursed, raised my voice except to ask why, and yet they still screamed at us again without telling me what was up after saying I'll leave but want to know what was going on.

Allows legitimately racist, homophobic and misogynistic bands to perform while claiming not to allow either and doesn't step up when those incidents take place at shows here. It's also very dirty in the venue and needs repairs done.

Made up for two separate areas, one upstairs, one downstairs. Very punk rock feel. Price for entry will vary depending on event but can advance sale purchase for a cheaper ticket price.

This is an all time classic venue. Maybe the best in the world. The balcony/landing area is an unmatched place to view live music.

One of the best bars in Baltimore! I frequent here for the upstairs pool tables. People who play pool are all super friendly. Awesome that there’s never a cover for upstairs but sometimes the DJ is meh. Staff are super friendly, drinks are cold, and downstairs puts on some real good shows
