Swing by this bakery that’s been highly recommended by many friends who work at the Hopkins. My problem was that I came in the late afternoon, 90 mins before they’re closed. Therefore, they ran out of classic and almond croissants. Fine, I picked Spinach & Ricotta, Apple turnover, and Walnut danish. I did not try any of their desserts as I would like to make sure I like their pastries first before overspending if unworthy. The bakeries look very outdated and needed a makeover....
This is by far the best bakery in Baltimore. The Marjalaine cake is the best cake I have ever had in my life. The pastries and fruit tarts are also amazing. I don't think you can go wrong with anything they serve.
No need for atmosphere. Pickup place only. I find patisserie poupon to be the best of the best. We have been coming for special occasion cakes close to 30 years. I couldn't imagine celebrating a cake from there. And of course when we go, we always pick up other goodies.
