My uncle is traveling here with us, and his favorite spot is always Pho Bac. We were all so surprised by how much the food tastes like home. It’s usually tough to find such authentic flavors while traveling, but this place really nailed it

My favorite spot. My husband and I are here atleast once or twice a week. Everybody here is such a sweet heart. Best pho in Baltimore hands down. Oh and the Lychee Martini 🍸 are a must. Pad Thai and the fried rice is bomb.

I love this place. It’s my local go to spot that hits home every time. The friendly servers make it so much better. I haven’t had a dish here that I haven’t loved.

I’ve been going to Pho Bac since 2017. We lovingly refer to it as “going to see Mama Trang” because quickly after becoming a patron we were treated as family. Everything Mama Trang touches is delicious. Her dishes are well crafted , thoughtful and full of flavor. I see people that complain about price and portion and to them I say “stay home and make your own food, free up a table for those of us who know how to appreciate noodles made by an angel” plus have you ever made Pho? It’s like 12 hours to get a good broth. Leave it to the expert. Go see Mama Trang and her people.

I visited Pho Bac tonight and order Vegetarian Pho and the Grilled Shrimp salad. Upon receiving my food I noticed the salad was drenched in a very sweet salad dressing.
I asked a the service employee if there was sugar added sweetener in the dressing and he said no and made a face at me as if why I’m asking him such a stupid question. My initial waiter said no as well then went to actually get clarity… turns out there was sweetener in the dressing she said it was sweet and sour sauce. Which was weird because it’s not on the menu and for health and dietary reasons I can’t have sugar.
The owner came out and was very combative about it, I asked for it to be taken off as I couldn’t even eat it and she argued with me. I even had to inform her that it wasn’t on the menu, to which she the asked my waiter to show her. I mean it’s your restaurant shouldn’t you know your own menu?
Even after proving to her she still kept saying “there’s nothing wrong with it you just don’t like it”. What I don’t like is not knowing what’s in my food, especially when I always check to make informed decisions.
The owner has terrible customer service and she will continue to lose out on business because she wants to argue instead of correcting the issue. After saying I have never had to go back and forth with an owner of an establishment over something so minuscule, I’ll just pay but I’ll will for sure be doing a review. She tried to talk to me about and after having to ask her multiple times to leave me alone and let me pay. She kept trying to talk to me but I was done. I’ll never return.
As a food content creator with a large following I’ll be sure to making this public and for them to proceed with caution before coming to this place or better just skip it in total and head over the Pho Saigon instead where they actually value their customers.
Update in response to the owner: Wow even now you’re still being combative. I did not eat most of my salad. In fact I had 2-3 small bites and couldn’t believe the amount of sugar in it. The only reason I took the shrimp with me is because I PAID for it. To say it was mostly gone is a complete lie! Furthermore, If I ordered Pho it’s bc I’ve already factored in the sugar intake. Which means anything else that is high in sugar would spike my blood sugar. I’ve already mentioned that you and this is the response you left? Also, I never mentioned there was a problem with the Pho so why would I not take it to go, again I PAID for it. Tasteless! Truly shows your lack of concern for your customers. You along with your staff don’t even answer questions properly. AGAIN you had to google your own ingredients because you didn’t know it, neither did you know what was on the menu. What a joke. You certainly don’t belong in the food industry at all.
