Everything was fine until we got the check. When the waiter brought it to the table he said, "An 18% tip would be appreciated." Even though we usually tip more, that left a bad taste in our mouth as we left. BTW, we were a party of 4 with reservations at 5 to 6 PM on a very slow Sunday.There was no need for that comment. (We did leave a 20% tip, more out of habit for only fair over all service.)
We come here about five or six times per year. We continue to come because of the proximity to the Hippodrome Theater. But every time we are here we have some type of issue. Whether it be one time the server never entered our order in the system, or food coming out very slowly, poor service, and most recently all our food (appetizer and entree) coming out at the same time. Certainly looking for other options that allow the variety of food they have here for adults and kids.
My wife loves Pratt Street Ale House. We try and eat there whenever we stay in Baltimore, The majority of the staff is great - friendly, courteous, cheerful and polite. We haven't everything on the menu, but the food we have tried has always been delicious. The prices are a little higher than other restaurants in the area, but not atrociously priced. And we're more than willing to pay a slight premium knowing we're getting good food and good service. We will continue...
