Really disappointed, and it hurts to write this. I made a 7pm Saturday reservation for four. When we placed our entree order we were told that they had run out of chicken. Umm…What?? I honestly thought the server was joking. My party was stunned because we traveled from DC for the chicken. So I ordered the duckfit gumbo instead. Not available! At this point I just had to laugh.
What we ordered: wings (B-), shrimp (A+), crab dip (B, kind of cold), kale salad (B), burgers (can’t comment because I stuck with the appetizers because I was over it at this point).
Although I would like to try my first choice options one day, I’m hesitant to go back because the drink service was absurdly slow. I’m talking 30 minutes+ (not exaggerating) for a lemon drop martini. On the second round (which took almost as long) someone from our table went to the bar to see what the hold up was - the bartender hasn’t even started them. If you know the size of this establishment then you understand how absurd these wait times are. And no one was being brought drinks into the dining room since we were seated so what was the hold up?! The bartender was socializing more than working.
Really disappointed because I wanted to love this place. But we still tipped $20 on top of the auto gratuity because we felt obligated to (IYKYK). Tiffany was a sweet server but the drink service left a horrible impression and made an already disappointing experience unredeemable.

We heard about Rooted Rotisserie in the Baltimore banner, and decided to check it out. It is impossible to overstate how delightful this cozy restaurant is. Both the bar and dining area are decorated in a modern yet timeless way. The music they were playing added to the welcoming vibe. The service was friendly and very genuine. All of that to say that the atmosphere was one of the finest in the city for a cozy and comforting meal.
But let's talk about the food. So. Freaking. Good. We got the crab dip, Mac and cheese, 1/2 chicken, and duck gumbo. Every dish was very good. So much so that I want to try everything on the menu because I'm 100% confident that if they are serving it, that means it's good. We also got both the chocolate and lime cakes. Both were also amazingly good.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out. It's so worth it!

What pissed me of was the incompetence of the host and employees. The phone situation really mad no sense they told us they do not monitor the phones or answer. We traveled in the rain and when we arrived the place wasn’t accepting walk ins we had no idea we called several times we could have avoided the problem if they had proper communication and contact what if it was a issue I’m so upset that these owners don’t think about what an inconvenience it is not to be able to speak with a manager or anyone. Just a waste of time and money traveling so annoying

Loved this place! Highly recommend 😋 Tried their half rotisserie chicken with Demi glaze, Parmesan truffle fries and duck confit. It might seem a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The chicken is so tender, juicy and delicious. The demi glaze sauce is a must try it’s made of the chicken drippings. The duck was really tender and flavorful, might be on the saltier side. It came with cabbage which tasted so good and fried okra that went great with the duck. For drinks their house made hibiscus lemonade was super refreshing and their lemon drop was great too. The people who work there were really nice and hospitable. Excited to go back there and try all their other dishes!

10 out of 10 on EVERTHING from entrance to exit. The hostess greeted us, table with name plate for my bday. The shrimp appetizer was FIYA, well prepared huge and paired nicely with the Brussels! The duck gumbo, Wow...the duck, fried crispy, saffron rice was cooked perfectly, the gumbo sauce, nice spice and surprisingly, fried okra was very nice. The chicken was the star or the show...moist, flavorful and cld not stop at just one bite Lastly, Tlthe caakkkeee...wow...IMPRESSED and MUST TRY!

I just simply cannot put into words how awesome of an experience I had at Rooted Rotisserie this evening. From the moment I walked in and was greeted, to our waitress, Tiffany, to EVERY SINGLE DISH that came out to the table, and even down to the music! Exceptional. I have not had AMAZING food like this God knows how long. It’s been hours later I’m still thinking about it.

This is the epitome of comfort food. We started with the crab dip, it had huge pieces of crab meat and a great creamy flavor. The rotisserie chicken was amazing (we got it with the Harissa sauce) and had super crispy skin and juicy flavor. The mac and cheese was killer and so were the brussel sprouts—super crispy. The duck gumbo had so many layers and such a great blend of ingredients in one bowl. This is a Baltimore gem 💎
