I have been trying to celebrate my wife's birthday and we finally succeeded with another couple. The view is spectacular and the food was excellent. My wife and I both got the salmon. One dish was prepared Asian style while my wife's salmon was prepared American. Both plates were excellent. I must caution that the parking is extremely costly. We were at the restaurant approximately two hours. We did get the parking ticket validated at the restaurant which saved us $8 but the total costs before validation was $18. For 2 hours that is highway robbery. But my wife and I love the ambiance and so we will infrequently visit the Rusty Scupper. Oh and by the way Jaimie is an excellent and very attentive waiter.
The buffet was GREAT! Everything was hot, fresh and delish!! Totally enjoyed my birthday brunch with a very dear friend. :-)
Outstanding meal and we will definitely be returning. The view was perfect overlooking the harbor and the boats. The service was timely and friendly. The food far exceeded expectations. My whole family agreed it was a fabulous dinner and we cannot wait to return.
We absolutely loved our experience. The food was amazing, and the view. Kayla was an excellent server and helped make my husband's birthday an excellent experience. We also appreciated the noise level and friendliness of the atmosphere.
Our waitress was fantastic!! Amanda went out of her way to ensure our experience was great.
Great server and was seated with a beautiful view of the harbor. Wonderful way to start our Baltimore long-weekend vacation. Fish was excellent!
Due to transportation issues, we had to change our reservation time. The restaurant was very accommodating and gave us a later time slot. Our server, Bryant was outstanding and the food was delicious. Bryant answered all of our menu questions and make excellent recommendations. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the restaurant surprised us with complimentary glasses of champagne. The restaurant was clean and the music was varied. The view of the Inner Harbor from our table was outstanding.
We had a great time. Our table at the window provided a wonderful view of the harbor. Or server, Mark, went above and beyond, making suggestions and sharing his favorites. We combined the two soups- a crab based and tomato based clam chowder- and they offset each other beautifully. The crab cakes were outstanding as well as the special scallops. The piano provided a nice ambiance. We will definitely be back.
I had to change my arrival time and number of attendees and the resturant was very accommodating.
Easter Brunch at The Rusty Scupper – A Memorable Experience with Room to Grow We visited The Rusty Scupper in Baltimore for their Easter Brunch and were instantly captivated by the stunning harbor views and festive ambiance. The setting is truly hard to beat, with live jazz playing softly in the background and a warm, celebratory energy that set the perfect tone for the holiday. The food selection was overall impressive, especially for seafood lovers — fresh-shucked oysters, smoked salmon, prime rib, and an assortment of brunch classics were all beautifully presented and delicious. However, we did notice a missed opportunity in terms of inclusivity: the buffet lacked clear vegan and gluten-free options. In today's dining landscape, it would be great to see more thoughtful choices for guests with dietary restrictions. Service was friendly, though there were noticeable inconsistencies. Some staff members were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, while others seemed unsure about basic details — for instance, one server didn't know where certain condiments were located, while another found them instantly. A bit more staff training would go a long way in ensuring a smoother and more confident service experience. One of the main logistical challenges was the buffet layout. With only one main buffet area, guests from both the upper and lower dining levels had to queue in the same space, which led to long waits — especially for hot items, which were unfortunately lukewarm by the time we reached our table. A second buffet setup for the lower level would not only help with crowd flow but also ensure that food is enjoyed at the optimal temperature. Despite these hiccups, we appreciated the overall experience and left feeling satisfied. With a few adjustments — including dietary accommodations, improved staff training, and better buffet logistics — The Rusty Scupper could elevate their Easter Brunch from good to outstanding. We'd definitely consider returning, especially i

Great seafood restaurant with fabulous views of Baltimore and the inner harbor. I enjoyed my cream of crab soup and Chesapeake Rockfish. Nice wine and beer selection too.

Our server Lucy, was well-versed with the menu which helped make our choices easier. Lucy was attentive, funny and made our evening extra enjoyable. The views are amazing. If you have a car there is parking but take your ticket and have it stamped at the restaurant for a discounted price.
