Overpriced , will not go back , parking lot is a security risk , and there is a homeless issue here.
Very convenient location with plenty of parking that offers all the essentials, some a bit on the small side, that one would expect at a grocery store: fresh produce, meat & fish department, bakery, deli, and pharmacy. It is definitely a place that you can utilize for your weekly grocery shopping.
BEWARE THE EMPLOYEES AT CHECK OUT. THEY STEAL FROM CUSTOMERS AND YOU DON'T KNOW UNTIL YOU GO HOME. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. IT HAPPENED THREE TIMES. NO MORE !!!!

Their prices are good and their products are varied. I did not find halal, but there is a kosher corner
And days before Thanksgiving . Lookout for salt & pepper couple's. Do not prevent or block access to self check out stations. I will physically move your shopping cart . If this continues every year. SERIOUSLY ! White Adult Female With Glasses. And Black Male Husband. ( Year 2021).

If you have over 15 items, you are forced to be in the only open lane. Check out takes about 90 minutes and that’s why I will start getting my groceries in Russia.
Rude and unhelpful in pharmacy
Overall this is a really nice grocery store. Lots of produce, a wide selection of options, short lines. I could always stand for more gluten free options but otherwise I like this one very much.
Furious that they changed their store policy to only allow self-checkout for customers with 15 items or less. Wait times to check out are now enormous. Extremely disappointing.
My experience was on Mother's day at register 8. Manager Janet was unwilling to assist. It was her way. The hot dogs were a part of 4 for 20. She refused to honor the price or figure why they were located in 4 for 20 if not a part of the deal. Manager last week honored it. Manager week before adjusted 4 for 20 because it did not ring correctly. I check it each time. I did not like her customer service skills because she is supposed to be a manager. Please find out why the hot dogs are there if not part of the deal. She basically refused to do so.

While I haven't had any negative experiences with employees of this store (because I usually get my groceries, go to the self checkout and I'm done) I will say I agree with previous reviews that say the prices are getting too high. Americans are encouraged to "eat more healthy" but that kind of food is always the most expensive.
I thought people were joking when they say eggs cost too much these days but when I went to Safeway this past week and purchased 2 cartons of organic eggs, only to see the total of 2 was almost $15 I couldn't believe it. Being a Safeway member doesn't matter because what they consider a sale, isn't much. 40 cent off here, $1 off there. I spent over $230 on 47 items. My mom only had 23 items and spent over $150.
Not only are the prices getting out of hand but the quality in food is dropping massively. It's all too common to see boxes of food sitting in the middle of aisles. Salads, fruit, frozen foods. I bought 2 Greek Gods yogurt, only to get home and see one of them expired April 7th 2024. Which means that yogurt was still sitting in their fridge almost 2 weeks later because employees weren't discarding expired/bad food. Earlier this year I was in Safeway talking to my mother about the watermelon they sell and how it's never sweet, only for an employee walking by jump in the conversation and agree with me. If your own employee is agreeing with the lack of quality in the food they are helping to sell, you know it's bad.
I like going here because of the friendly service and the fact that I can get in and out quickly.
Pharmacy review* Silvie, the pharmacist, is absolutely unprofessional and has jumped down my throat more than once about my Rx orders. I’ve been double charged, yelled at, disregarded, gaslit, and had my time sensitive Rx’s delayed, to no fault of my own. Next day delivery really means I should have just done regular mail delivery, or just used a different pharmacy all together. Prices at Safeway are more affordable, but I’ll figure out a way to pay more for my meds to not have to go through the unprofessionalism and lack of customer care at this pharmacy. Thank you for my medication withdrawal(s), Safeway. Mercy Hospital ER and Union Memorial Hospital ER say hello.
Pharmacy is great, the staff is very helpful. Safeway general employees not helpful at all, very poor quality produce ?
