I have been eating at Samos‘s for over 30 years unfortunately I moved to New York but every time I come home this is one of my first stops. They absolutely have the best Greek food in Baltimore. I have not even found anything comparable here in New York. Their tzatziki is perfection. Their homemade sweet tea with lemon is the best. I always order the Police man special JOYCE the waitress is such a doll ! She’s been there for a long time and is friendly ,knows the menu thoroughly and will help you make the best choice for what you may be craving. Their soups are always fresh, hot and amazing and the homemade dressing for the Greek salad is like no other. This is a must stop. If you are in Baltimore you will not regret it. Trust me.

The BEST 👌 Gyros and I'm not kidding; true greek style! Been going here since I was little. Family oriented place; closed on sundays to focus on Family which in my opinion is a positive!

I have always wanted to try this place. It. did not disappoint. Best tatziki and gyros I have had.The food portions were generous and the staff so kind and helpful. Great neighbor hood atmosphere. The baklava is a must try.

Coming back from DC, we decided to stop at Samos for a late lunch/early dinner. It was a perfect time – the restaurant was practically empty. It was great to see Joyce again. We were told we could sit anywhere. We picked a table for 4 even though there were only two of us, which was fine with them. Eleni came right over and took our drink orders. My husband ordered the Souvlaki Platter with two skewers of steak accompanied by roasted vegetables, rice, tzatziki and a Greek salad with grilled pita wedges. I decided to have the Pastitsio, which came with a Greek salad and grilled pita wedges. The Pastitsio was baked ziti layered with meat sauce and topped with creamy bechamel sauce and parmesan. Oh my, we both we are in heaven. My husband enjoyed every last morsel of his dish. Mine was so enormous, I had enough for another meal the next day. We purchased some of their Greek dressing to take home. Thank you again for an absolutely delicious meal.

PERFECTION! Our server, Tammy, was unbelievable. She helped us try as many things as possible. Everything tasted fantastic. As close to Greece as you can get. Pictured is the grilled octopus, calamari, and cheese pie. Not pictured is the Roasted Chicken Oreganato which was also delicious, and ridiculously affordable. The atmosphere was nice and made even better by the amazing staff. This was my first time here but I will be coming back until I’ve tried everything on the menu.

Great food, ginormous portion sizes, great prices. The only thing to note is that they only accept cash no credit option but there is a atm inside of the restaurant. I got the tour of greece platter and the lamb chops were to die for. The gyro meat was really tasty and coming from me that means everything because I absolutely hate gyro meat, it normally reminds me of thinly sliced scrapple. Anyway give this place a try you will not be disappointed.
Revised edit: I visted again on 6/20/2025. The food quality, portions, and prices are still amazing and you really get your money's worth, which is very important in this time of economic hardship. They now accept credit cards so now there's one less thing keeping you from visiting Samos Restaurant. I still love it and you will too. ❤️❤️❤️

It's authentic Greek food! Get the platter with a little taste of everything, from the lamb , chicken skewers, to the spinach pie .
