We had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful omakase tasting with Chef Jay! Our experience, where we got to try a wonderful selection of fish (caught, around the world, traveled, and served within a day), with simple but thoughtful preparation, was an absolutely treat. Can’t wait to come back!

I would recommend the omakase experience. The hand rolls were delicious and I would definitely go back and try the Dinner omakase special. Lunch was a good amount and I didn’t leave hungry or stuffed.

From the gyoza, to the sushi, to the teriyaki, everything was a hit. The folks here are friendly and the food is great. Very low key experience

Sushi was fresh and great. Not much flavor with the blue fin tuna and salmon sashimi, otherwise I would give it 5 stars on food. Will definitely go back!

My 14 year old daughter wrote a review about this restaurant and i'd forgotten to.
Years ago, before Covid, i would take photos and write reviews from the different restaurants I'd been.I made an ig and followed the michelin starred restaurants in the dmv area and they started to follow me back. Restaurants I'd never been to began to solicit me. Please they'd say. Come visit us.
I started to feel like Igor from Ratatouille. Reviews have always felt like a love note from my taste buds. I start drafting a review in my head like a tune that only i can hear. I stopped writing only after a restauranteur threatened me with a lawsuit. Until now.
Sizka is....IF I HAVE NO WORDS fantastic. Simple AND quiet but the details are the devil aren't they? (Or something someone has said)
What the owner has been able to cultivate is something special. Simplistic. Easy. Sushi is meant for the ingredients to sing for themselves.
The freshness and pricing for said sushi is unrealistic for the area and yet here it is. Surprising and shockingly situated next to to a dental office and a Bank of America ATM, it caught the corner of my eye one day about 6 weeks ago.
The only sushi place to have in stock and on the menu sea urchin (uni), chu Toro and otoro, salmon belly, ikura, grated horseradish on a bed of sushi rice that IYKYK judges a sushi Chefs weight and class.... WHAT?!? Soft pearls of rice that shimmer in the light with JUST* enough rice vinegar to raise an eyebrow and below market price. Fresh. Simplistic in design, CLEAN.
My eyes couldn't believe it. It made me beg for answers. How long have you been here? How are you staying in business?how old are you? What is Sam's blazes was going on here?! Who is your clientele? I barrage the owner/ sushi chef with questions. Who what when How why what? Confusion set in and puzzled me.
Hamachi collar grilled with a miso sauce. A fatty peice of resistance melted down with luscious bits of smoky fish attached and cooked perfectly.
California roll. Creamy avocado. Perfectly ripened and tender. The imitation crab chopped finely but something different. Is it rice vinegar? Mayo? Whatever it is, it seriously is as California rolls were designed to be. Light. Airy. Flavorful.
The soy sauce. No kikkoman here. Lower sodium? More flavor.
The miso. More Flavorful and and denser than others. More dashi? What is it?!?
The rice. Sweet but not TOO much. Light and fluffy.
The sea urchin creamy, sweet baby tongue. Umami flavors though out with just a touch of Wasabi pickled shoots.
Sweet prawn (amaebi) raw shrimp so sweet.
Ikura. Fresh salmon pearls that have just the right freshness and burst in your mouth like sunshine.
I COULD NOT PUT MY FINGER ON ANYTHING. And left puzzled. This quality is only found in the ritziest of places.
I dreamt of this place, so even though I live an hour away, I came back the next day.
I brought my immediate family for Fathers day to omakase. FOR FREAKING $90 per person. We lived overseas for years in southeast asia This quality you will never get stateside for $90 per person. This is nobody quality. This is influencer you gotta know somebody in the back vip room quality.
10 peices, fresh from the ocean. Not sitting in a freezer to be defrosted. FRESH. Unlike anything I would have expected to have in THAT neighborhood in THAT time. Well presented. We had everything from yellowtail to uni to Cho turo to wagygu beef. My father exclaimed at every peice.
Perfection. Easily a thousand dollar meal and yet here off O'Donnell street a mere $90 per person blowing my mind in a small space that fits 60 strong and somehow manages to deliver the highest quality of sushi I'

I had a super minimal omakase experience on Sunday. While the food was good, I also have to say that I can find similar items pretty much everywhere, and I couldn’t find anything special about this restaurant.
