The ribs and coleslaw are very good. You get better portions/quality when you pick it up vs Uber eats.

Really enjoyed my time here. I stopped in by chance. I was dropping some files of across the street and decided id try it. The owner was very friendly. I had the brisket sandwich. 20 out of 20. I ended up just hanging around to chat with the owner. She was very friendly and had a real Southern hospitality vibe to her. I'd defiantly return just for the conversation alone.

After searching for BBQ in the city, my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Smokin’ Joes! We both order pit beef sandwiches, coleslaw, and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious including the spicy bbq sauce. The man making our orders was kind and took his time to put together the perfect meals for us! We will 100000% be back☺️

This is not a fast food restaurant. This is a classic, take your time, do it right, southern food BBQ joint. Everything I've had has been great. The pulled pork is a true Carolina style (vinegary) and the whole chicken is a great way to feed the family. The sauces are good.But you will have to wait a while for it. And its priced at the high end. Salad is served with several of the dishes and its very generic. It helps with the value of the expensive meal, but I don't always want a salad.One of the expenses also comes from the size of the sides. They are pint and quart size. If I could just get a cup or half cup of the sides, that would also add to the experience.Overall, definitely worth getting it if you appreciate good BBQ.
I had this place once before around the time they opened up and the food was okay at best . I had ribs and some coleslaw. It’s sad because I tried them for the first time at a festival and thought the food was pretty good when it’s fresh. I’m pretty sure this is all just heated up in a microwave and handed out so who knows when it was made. Probably the day prior.To make matters a bit worse the interior of this location smells a bit like a toilet decided to flush up instead of down so it doesn’t smell the best.

Southern Hospitality at its finest. Very clean and welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by Jacklyn (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) who helped steer me towards the pit beef, after letting me have a little sample and I was sold. The sandwich was even better, topped.with purple cabbage slaw. All of their BBQ sauce is made from scratch and it shows! I'm going to be coming back for sure!

At first I was hesitant coming here for ribs due to the price, but now I regret not coming here on Day 1 of moving to Baltimore. I've been searching for a local barbeque place that could match my previous all-time favorite, and I'm so glad I stopped in to Smokin' Joes, because they served me the best ribs I have ever had in my life.The ribs are huge, tender, and full of flavor. The giant slabs of meat fall off the bone as you pick it up. When you take a bite, the rich sauce (if you get them wet) and perfectly juicy meat combine into a heavenly paradise that will make you forget about all the worries of life, because all you'll be able to focus on are the amazing, amazing ribs.
