One of our Go To restaurants in the city. Now they serve brunch and on game day it was the perfect place to eat and walk to the stadium

Had another fantastic evening at SoBo. The food is always great. The service is friendly and attentive. Everything was perfect for an evening where we needed to get out of the house and spend some quality time together. Thank you for making it possible.

Cozy and warm like being at home! You must check it out!

Stopped by the place for brunch today and it turned out to be the best decision. Food was incredible and I think the new owner used to be a head chef all around the world so could definitely see that in the quality of the food. We tried the crab cake benedict, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits, every bite was spot on!!

Great service and excited to try out more food items in the future!

It was a good time with only one other group in the restaurant. They were attentive and friendly

Great little place, nice and quiet ambiance, liked the food (had a crab cake and side of green beans which weee good) service was a bit chaotic, some confusion when food was being served and at some point tried to get some water and it took quite a while to get her to pay attention to our table. She did put a discount on the bill due to the chaos, so she realized it!

Let me start by saying that Sobo used to be one of my favorite spots in Federal Hill, but unfortunately, the quality has gone downhill.

I went for brunch yesterday, and honestly, I would’ve had a better experience at Dunkin’.

I ordered a coffee with cream on the side, but they didn’t have any, only offered cold milk, and the coffee itself was so watered down it tasted like dirty water. I couldn’t drink it.

Then came the food. I specifically asked for sourdough ( it was an option in the menu), but what I got was just a plain slice of packaged white bread you’d find at any grocery store.

To top it off, the service felt inexperienced and inattentive. Overall, it was a disappointing visit to a place I used to love.

We reserved our table for the first seating of the day, were seated promptly - at the table closest to bathrooms. (Why is the first table seated in an empty restaurant closest to the bathroom traffic??) our hostess/ server was friendly and responsive. The mimosa was the perfect blend. Our food was delicious. Even the breakfast potatoes required no salt or pepper - seasoned perfectly! Breakfast sandwich on English muffin was tasty - though a little moist from being heated on the plate. We will return. It was a good choice.

Today was the Ravens game, and everywhere was packed, but I stopped by SOBO Kitchen & Bar for brunch — and it turned out to be the best decision! The food was amazing, service was great, and the whole experience was just perfect. Big thanks to the new owner for bringing brunch and such a great menu to our neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back soon!

We came in as a group of 10 and had the best meal ever at SOBO Kitchen & Bar. We tried the octopus carpaccio, scallops, shrimp ceviche, Korean short ribs, and lamb vindaloo — every single dish was outstanding. The new menu is impressive, and the presentation made everything feel special.

Service was just as great as the food — attentive, friendly, and seamless even with a large group like ours. We’re still talking about the meal, and everyone in our group agreed we’ll be back again soon. Highly recommend this place!

Probably the worst dining experience I’ve had in Baltimore, maybe anywhere. Slow to nonexistent service. Cold food. Cold coffee. The server was drowning and asked for help from the manager who flat out told her no. I don’t think anyone who works here has ever worked in food service before which is a real disappointment as the old Sobo was my first pick in Federal Hill.

New ownership going through growing pains. Extremely slow service, but food was good for brunch. Hopefully, things will improve. Was one of my favorites in Federal Hill. Time will tell...

On a football tailgate Sunday, the restaurant was understaffed and slow. We had a reservation (but didn't need it). Seemed as if moving people in and attending to them for cocktails/beverages and food was not a priority. Food was tasty. Was glad we were not in a hurry to get to the game. Some people were sat and them left due to the lack of attention to them. Would like to see more wait staff and a vibrant bartender on a game day Sunday.

Our experience on Sunday was atrocious. It started with the restaurant not being open as stated on the door. We had reservations at 10:30 and the restaurant was supposed to open at 10. The bartender would not let us in. We were given dinner menus instead of brunch menus. When we questioned the menu, we were told that was the only menu. They found the brunch menus. The coffee and tea that we were served was barely warm, and weak. We requested refills which took 15 minutes and served begrudgingly! The bartender spilled coffee on the table and we had to find napkins to mop it up. The French toast was mushy and cold. No syrup was initially brought until requested, end it was cold. end it was cold. The bacon was cold & not fresh. The eggs Benedict was vinegary and did not taste good. The breakfast burrito was obviously microwaved and also not hot. Our check was incorrect, and an extra meal was added to it. Other observations: two other tables left without placing an order. They appeared disgusted. One person ordered a bloody Mary and the bartender could not find the mix. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing brunch from a restaurant that we had previously enjoyed dining in frequently. It was quite obvious that they were very disorganized, and unprofessional. We will not return to SoBo Kitchen and Bar!

I wonder if management recently changed because the quality has gone down a ton.. I used to be obsessed with the short rib sandwich, and I reordered it and it was so disappointing. The meat was so fatty, almost entirely fatty throughout, and there was something hard in it too, maybe a bone/cartilage or something. The bread is also lower quality than before. I’m very disappointed because this was a great spot to go to.
