We’re new to the area, and I’ve been missing my family’s Polish and Hungarian cooking. We stumbled upon Sophia’s Deli while wandering around, and I’m so glad we decided to stop in. You can truly taste the love in every dish—especially the carrot turmeric soup and the pierogis.
The cook is incredibly kind, and his food made me feel like I was right back in my grandmother’s kitchen on a cold winter day. We will definitely be coming back!
Visiting here is such a treat. The food is more delicate and less heavy than you might think of Polish food. This is the Sobieski’s Feast platter. I love the kielbasa, the herbs in the sauerkraut, the pierogis and the richness of the red sauce. Check out the refrigerated/freezer section too, with tons of soups and pierogis. We appreciate the kind staff too
Loved them, pleasant and everything was fresh
Some of the best food in fells point. Great service and the golabki’s are delicious.
Wow wow wow!! Visited Baltimore and looking for some Polish place to eat!! You will not go wrong with this one!!! Ate my food in less than 10 minutes!! Fantastic!!
DELICIOUS perogies, best I've had in a decade
Enjoyed the pierogi!
I was in town visiting from Buffalo and I stumbled upon this little gem. Thomas, the head chef, hooked me up with a Golabki because it was the last one and it was broken. I was so delighted by this gesture! I’ve been enjoying slowly learning Baltimore and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town!
Pastries are amazing. Good selection of Polish items.
My boyfriend and I came to Sophia’s Place for the borscht to take home. We ended up ordering the carrot ginger & turmeric soup, pirogies, liverwurst sandwich and a cabbage roll. Everything was amazing, food was fresh & delicious. Thomas offered us a tasting of the split pea soup which was tasty as well. Will be back. Highly recommend.

First time in and won’t be my last! Purchased the prosciutto sandwich and the split pea and kielbasa soup, both absolutely delicious. Chef Thomas and staff were so friendly and welcoming, I’m looking forward to coming back.
Absolutely delicious. Came here for lunch. Amazing pierogi and Goląbki. You really can’t get this type of food anywhere else in Maryland. An absolute gem.
This place is awesome. Located in the broadway market. Parking is tough but the food is worth the hassle. I will 100% be back.
Delicious soups and desserts!
I could eat here three meals a day for the rest of my life. Walked in on a cold Fall morning and tried their array of soups, all of which were delicious and hearty. Chef Thomas was incredibly kind and hospitable, letting me try all sorts of things off the menu. This is a local institution. Delicious Polish food that everyone can enjoy. Thank you Chef Thomas!!
