This is the essence of Mom-and-pop restaurants. Nothing flashy. Nothing fancy. Just delicious, home cooked meals. They have a variety of belly-warming hime made soups. Can't decide which one? No problem. They will give you a sample. Soups are served piping hot. I decided on the classic tomato soup with a Bahn Mi sandwich. The soup was good. Very mild and creamy, although i would prefer a more acidic, tomato forward soup with a bit more zing, it was very good. The bahn mi was good, but the bun was too big and toasted too hard. I would suggest hollowing out the bun on the inside so that all of the veggies can nestle in it. It needs to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The flavors were wonderful, but the bread was toasted too hard and it cut my mouth when I tried to chomp down on it. Overall, it was very good and I would recommend this place for a great home cooked meal with friendly staff and reasonable prices.
We went there with a bunch of my friends. Although the dine in place is not very large we sat comfortably and enjoyed our tine there.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was so warm and cozy.

One of the best things about living in Midtown is having truly excellent, fresh soup available at an affordable price. This place rocks.

Finally Came here for the first time. Service was nice and quick. Although the written menu isn’t the best to read, I’m glad the cashier was nice enough to partially tell me what was gluten free. She was interrupted by the cook (maybe manager) who let me know what I could have.
I got the red lentil and lemon soup. It was nice. It wasn’t hearty like I’d thought it would be, more of a puree soup. Still a nice texture and flavor.
The eat in area does need a good sweep and mop on the floors. There’s no trash on the floor but it can feel kind of dirty to sit and eat in a very dusty area

I love this place so much. It's ridiculously inexpensive and everything is delicious. I get a different thing every time I come in and I've never been disappointed. This place is a total gem.

I ordered the Oven-Roasted Turkey sandwich & the Pork Stew. Both were incredibly delicious! and enough food for two lunches.

I have gone to this establishment several times and thoroughly enjoyed the food selection. Food is prepared fresh and soups have delicious flavors with nice portion sizes. I would recommend them , perfect for a cold weather rainy day-much like today.
However, something I observed today showed a disservice and it was disheartening to see. Another patron and I had casual conversation while we waited for our meals as the only two people in the restaurant. She noted that it was her first time at the restaurant and was excited to try the food before she went to hear the orchestra play. That she didn’t know that the restaurant closed early and asked how I knew. (When I entered today there was a hand written sign on the door stating “closing early at 6pm”. ) I noted there was a sign and she disclosed she was blind and couldn’t see the sign or the menu. We went on to discuss menu items that I had before, of course soups but also sandwiches.. “sandwiches!?” She noted she didn’t know that there was sandwiches and other menu items- possibly because they had to verbally note items to her. Her order was up and the restaurant personnel approached with her order on a tray, kindly went through the order then got her some water. She asked about the sandwich items and he snapped at her saying that “I’ve been working 12 hours I want to go home “ then walked off. Mind you, this is at 5:33 pm. This it was a very rude encounter and I felt bad. I apologized for the interaction and wished her meal was good regardless of the interaction.
This highlighted a greater concern for inclusion and accessibility in our community spaces/ businesses. Given that the menu changes frequently it is difficult for patrons using assistive technology to read the menu, patrons who cannot climb stairs cannot access the order desk. I hope that all patrons are taken in to account and treated with dignity and respect ,as we all should , and that despite long days -patrons have quality customer service interactions because sometimes you just want a nice bowl of hot soup on a rainy cold day.

I've been a customer for ages, and always mean to leave a note, but today's soup was so phenomenal that I couldn't procrastinate any longer! The picture doesn't do this flavorful and umami-filled soup justice, but please don't procrastinate if you like Korean food. Listed as "SPICY KOREAN CHICKEN w/GINGER, BASMATI RICE, SOY & TOASTED SESAME," and I'm halfway through and debating going right back to get more for later!
Dietary restrictions: They always have a vegan, vegitarian, and gluten-free option.

Ten out of five! The vegan soups are always delicious, never over seasoned! The vegan bahn mi is second only to a French Vietnamese bakery in Biloxi (Le Bakery). Call ahead. It’s in a cool rowhouse with a beautiful seating area!

I forgot the name and it wasn't on my email receipt. The oven baked tofu sandwich with that dressing/fixings hit the spot for sure.
