I had an amazing meal at Sunny Side Café in Lexington Market, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in Baltimore! The food was absolutely delicious, and the flavors were on point.
The Captain Crunch French Toast Breakfast Sandwich was a standout—sweet, crunchy, and perfectly balanced with the savory elements inside. It’s a must-try for anyone who loves a creative twist on a classic breakfast. The Catfish and Grits were also excellent, with the fish cooked to perfection and the grits creamy and flavorful.
On top of the great food, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. If you’re in the area and craving a quality breakfast, Sunny Side Café is definitely worth a visit!

I have been going to them for over 10YEARS ! everything good ,EVERYTHING ! you know that's hard for alot of food spots to accomplish . when I come THEY ALREADY know what I want lol......ONE of my TOP 5 FOR SURE! ohhhh yea don't come here to get food and start nagging about the the$$$$$ of the food ! Ok I don’t even like super sweet stuff but when I saw that captain crunch French toast on the menu I was like OK FINE. I’ll try it. So glad I did. I got it with turkey bacon and scrambled eggs with cheese. The people here are super friendly. I’d say my food took 10-15minutes max on a busy day. So perfectly reasonable wait time. And I just browsed around Lexington market while waiting. I ate it when I got home and it was SOOOOO yummy. Just the perfect kinda sweet I was craving. No syrup necessary. And it came with a cute little fresh strawberry on top. I would definitely go back. There were lots of other options on the menu that I’d also like to try 😋

I was having one of those moments in Lexington Market when all of the food options becomes overload, so many choices. Only one appetite. I walked past Sunny Side Cafe and I saw these wonderful glistening biscuits. I sat down and read the very creative descriptions of items in the menu, and there are many. Keeping it simple I decided to get something basic. A biscuit sandwich with egg.; and I'm glad I did! I highly recommend visiting this stand because "they do Biscuits Right".

We were in town for a few days and googled a breakfast/brunch spot and this place came up. Its inside Lexington Market. The food was absolutely delicious. Its a black owned restaurant with some of the best fried chicken Ive tasted. The chicken was perfectly seasoned !!! The staff were super friendly. The next time im in the area im coming back here.
