I came to Sunset Cove hoping to enjoy a pleasant evening by the water, and in many ways it delivered — the food was delicious, the music was great, and the waterfront views were beautiful.
Unfortunately, our experience was impacted by an issue with seating. One of our dining companions is plus-sized, and the table we were first given had chairs with very narrow armrests. Although the restaurant wasn’t busy and there were open picnic tables available, our request to be moved was denied because picnic tables were said to be reserved for larger parties. Even after explaining the situation, the request was still dismissed at first. After speaking with multiple staff members, the hostess eventually agreed to let us move, but it took a lot of advocating for what felt like a very reasonable accommodation.
This is a wonderful location with great food and atmosphere, but the lack of flexibility and understanding from the staff did take away from our overall enjoyment.

Restaurant was awkward to find someone to seat us. Very busy outside bar space and almost nobody in the restaurant. We were seated upstairs but on the deck. The place is by the water.......and if you're not used to the smells of the water during summertime it can be an acquired smell but this place for some reason just smelled so bad the entire time. Not much they could do about that I guess though. Whole experience was uncomfortable from beginning to end.
I ordered a steak. My partner ordered a sandwich. My steak was seasoned well but awkwardly cooked with different temps all throughout. The sandwich was bland and stale tasting.
Just not.......I expected something completely different......and we talked about coming back multiple times to give it another chance......but something just isn't right with this place. I can't put my finger on it. It's a party atmosphere like alot of waterfront bars trying to pass itself off as a fancier restaurant than it is. Stick with the beach bar and I think you'll be much happier.

Service was horrible, waited at bar over 20 minutes , seen us there, but paying attention to young girls instead , we got up and left , will not be back

Had a great time. The Cajun chicken pasta was delicious.
Awesome experience here, the appetizers were delicious. Cove fries, crab dip. All excellent. I also had an OG burger which was pretty good. Cooked to perfect medium rare that I requested ?? toppings are extra surcharge. Drink menu was cool. Server was very friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is excellent. Great waterfront views.

Had a great dinner here! I had the crabcake sandwich which and hubby had the shirt rib grilled cheese. Both were very tasty ?.
Crabcake had some filler but is still an excellent choice.
Atmosphere is great and there is plenty of outdoor seating! Definitely worth a visit in the summer!
The only negative were all the extra taxes? We have never seen 3 different taxes on food here in Maryland. Plus the added gratuity. That's a real negative.
Overall, a good experience but not sure if we will return.
