Happily surprised by this spot just beyond my usual parts of the city. I’ve gone out of my way for pickup, take out, and to dine in at Sushi Hana. The price value, while not cheap, is the most effective I’ve found in the city cause you get solid portions of fresh, quality fish that is handled with delicate care.
They have a few creative, non traditional rolls that my partner enjoys. I usually only get sashimi or the chirashi. When we dine in, I’ll check if they have any specials like ankimo
Inside it feels like most staged sushi houses. There’s a particular type of decor and glassy feel to the interior. Everything is always clean and comfortable.
My only complaint is I wish the house salad dressing had a stronger base of soy/ginger and a little less orange/sesame oil.

We went here because we've had a great experience at the Towson location. This location isn't quite as good as the other one, though. We asked for water when we sat down but the server forgot to bring it to us until we asked again, after we were done eating. We ordered many rolls and the dinner portion of the vegetable tempura. The vegetarian rolls were all good. The tempura, however, was mid. The vegetables were in huge chunks and the broccoli in particular was filled with uncooked batter on the inside. Disappointing. Giving 4 stars overall because of the atmosphere and decorations, plus the rolls.

Delivery customers beware! Asked to substitute everyday duck sauce for the savory sauce that usually comes with the chicken tempura. Restaurant added a $2 side of duck sauce to my bill AND removed the regular sauce. Pure greed. If I was made to pay for both, I should have received both. Called several times for resolution but nobody ever answered the phone.

The sushi here was fresh and delicious
Me and my friend ordered the
Dragon roll
Golden roll
Maryland roll
Rock & roll
Along with the shrimp tempura appetizer, I highly recommend that.

I’ll never revisit, went here with my significant other at 10:10 they said to sit down and eat isn’t available rudely. They close at 11, clearly they didn’t want us there. We proceeded to leave. You won’t be seeing my business at any point in the future or from anyone associated with me or my company. We left and had a better experience at Yama sushi, if you’re looking for a quality Japanese sushi restaurant.
Very nice place to eat

I highly recommend this family owned sushi restaurant! I ordered the Sashimi and all the fish was incredibly tasty and fresh! If you want consistency and authentic flavor, definitely give Sushi Hana a try!

Really mediocre. So disappointing. Used to be good. Sushi so poorly cut it fell apart. Tuna flavorless and mushy.

Yellowtail (was it really yellowtail?) was flavorless. I’m hoping I do not get sick from this.

Horrible customer service. Rude and unapologetic. Will not be giving them business ever.

Made a reservation for about an hour and 10 minutes before our movie started, thinking this would be enough time to dine and see our film. The wait staff did not even take our order for 30 minutes. After rushing to complete our food as our table had been left mostly unattended the whole meal, I left a tip that was indicative of the service we received (slightly less than 20%). The waitress returned to the table and DEMANDED a higher tip, one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve ever had. After increasing her tip, I will never be returning here, I will be telling my friends to actively avoid this place as it seems there are many other reviews talking about this exact terrible service. And if you are reading this and thinking of dining here, do yourself a favor and don’t.

My friend and I went to Sushi Hana yesterday for the first time ever. The setting is quite peaceful, the staff is friendly and professional, and they got a nice indoor aquarium.
My friend and I got a sesame seaweed salad to share. Small sized, so easily shareable between two friends. We both got two different types of udon dishes that we both liked, but couldn't finish due to the quantity. I personally liked my Nabe Yaki Udon with chicken, but I couldn't finish all of it.
For dessert, we shared one order of mango-flavored ice cream mochi. One order of mochi comes with a plate of two mochis cut in half. The mango was very yummy and not too sweet.
If you're a DC resident going to Baltimore for work and/or visiting friends, or if you're a local college student, I recommend going there if you're looking for a quiet place to dine on a Monday afternoon.
