The wings were great. Decent price drinks and food. It's a little tight, but it gives it that charm of a Baltimore bar.
Good appetizers and drinks 🍸 very reasonable drink places
This is our favorite spot for a nice cold beer, best burger and the most delicious fries ever!!
My first visit to Swallow At The Hollow was positive. This spot has a local dive bar feel, with friendly staff. It can get a bit noisy if there's a sporting event on TV.
The menu features plenty of Baltimore and Eastern Shore classics, such as cream of crab soup, crab cakes, and hand-cut French fries. The fries were fantastic – perfectly fried and even better with malt vinegar.
I had the soft-shell crab sandwich special (not on menu) which came on toast with mayo. I asked them to bring it on new bread, which they did without issue because I didn't know it came with mayo. A brioche roll would be a nice touch, but the sandwich was still delicious. The tomato slices were ripe, the pickle spear was good, and drink refills were timely.
I also tried my friend's French onion soup, which was a bit too salty for my taste and had some Italian seasoning on top that didn't quite fit. Maybe less salt and no Italian seasoning would improve it.
Prices were very reasonable, and I'd definitely return. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd recommend Swallow At The Hollow to anyone looking for a nice local spot.
If you're looking for a true dive bar experience this is one of the best I have had. The bartender was great, giving excellent recommendations, friendly, and happy to help. And then the food came out!! we split the crab cake sandwich and steak wrap which were both phenomenal!!! Flavors were on point and portions were perfect. Highly recommend seeking out the #DDD location if you're in the area.
Swallow at the Hollow is a fun place to go after a movie, or to just enjoy pub food.at a low standard of diiing out and not even on a budget because their prices are on par with a 4 star restaurant. Im guessing their milking the locals.. They are 99% meat centrit, , so veetarians, vegans and the whole foodie lot may want to head elsewhere. It was a Monday when a few friends met there after the movie for a bite to eat. Waiter was friendly and easy going, likeable. He was running bar and food simultaneously and I complimented him.on his ability to multi-task. I ordered the Fish & Chip special. We'll it wasn't special at all. The fries were not fresh , rather dark and burnt which ruined half my meal and I was not happy. Fries looked cooked in old oil because burnt fries look this way when they dont change the oil, so they obviously cut corners. I left half on my plate and a friend helped me eat the other half only because we were so hungry , choking them down because we were starving... the fish was OK but not amazing. Obviously the chef has never been to Bermuda, or anywhere else because his food is mediocre at best as I observed in the pub. . The food has no distinctive taste and blends and blands into your other food adding no food experience at al leaving you feeling cheated. The tomatoes looked like ghost tomatoes on my friends grill cheese and tuna melt., light in color and under ripened. The cheese is the all time disguise of what's underneath the bun and thats scary.... I paid $30 for 2 IPA beers and fish & chips. The greens they served on my plate were a bit of an anomaly because they had no food connection to my fish & chips and burnt fries. What a waste of food because I had NO REASON to eat this ridiculous, at best garnish. I know pub food is not always the best or even good at all, however some people will eat anything.
So go ahead and Swallow at the Hollow and enjoy the local vibe. As for me, it's a great place for a beer and that's it..

Stopped here on a whim. This was a great little neighborhood bar that has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Food Network.
I was super excited to try the Rueben. Sadly it was just ok. Plain lunch meat corned beef and not nearly enough rose marie sauce. Also a thinker cut of marble rye would add some support to this sandwich.
The Steak Wrap which was featured on Triple D also was lackluster. The steak was chewy and was not seasoned at all. This wrap also needed more salsa.
The wings were delicious but alas needed more sauce for my tastes.
The place was packed and it was hard to find a seat. Also the food and alcohol prices were absolutely phenomenal!

This is almost the quintessential Baltimore dive/neighborhood bar. The food is solid, the beer list is amazing, and the service is just what you imagine it ought to be.

Staff here are always so welcoming and kind.
We love the calm atmosphere in here, it’s not a bar where you get approached by weirdos or see lots of disorderly drunk people (at least in our experience).
Food is always incredible! We love the ghost pepper wings.

The food is great and not too expensive.

Were at Saint Joe’s hospital looking for a place and this came up on Yelp. We were so happy we decided to come! We had Rueben sandwiches, which were excellent, and tried the buffalo wings. We are from Buffalo so we are very particular about our wings. They did not disappoint! Service was great and the beer was cold. We will definitely be back if we are up this way again.
Parking: We didn’t have any trouble parking, but it is paid street parking. Not sure how it is typically.
