Tabor is undoubtedly the most authentic Ethiopian restaurant in the Baltimore area, and perhaps in all of Maryland. From their special kitfo and doro wot, to the veggie combos and the awaze tibs, there's nothing that will leave you disappointed! It's definitely the closest thing that we've found in the area to eating the real thing in Ethiopia. Moreover, the owner and staff are genuine, kind-hearted people who provide splendid service and treat you like family....
I had my first ever Ethiopian meal here and it was absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was great. My server was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, explaining the different dishes and showing me how to eat with my hands. I opted for the 50/50 plate with lega tibs, which was a delicious combination of meat and vegetables. Despite the slightly sketchy surroundings, the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable.
