Stumbled in here while having jury duty, pleasantly surprised to find vegan sandwich options. The sandwhichbi got appeared to have homemade veggie patty on it. The bread was very good. Definitely check this spot out for a quick lunch.

This is such a classic place with the kindest people! I hope this store stays around for a long, long time, it feels like something out of my childhood and it’s always nice to stop there for something before work or during lunch.

Best lunch spot in Baltimore with the kindest owners. Reuben was delicious. If I worked closer, I'd come by everyday.
Great selection. The chicken salad is good. I appreciate the fact that she has some healthy selections on the menu as well.She is a nice lady and always very upbeat. She will even allow you to bring money on your next visit if you're short but you have to watch the prices. The price will be posted on the board but she rings pretty fast and increases them while ringing or the prices can change on a weekly basis.

The store clerk gave the man in front of me a free coffee. As she was ringing up my coffee she said "its because he pays $5 for his coffee everyday". I said "Thats so nice!" Then she says "Not you though" then in the same breath thanks me for the N95 masks I gave her. I've noticed she's been holding a grudge ever since I pointed to and asked for a danish with extra frosting. She snarkly replied "its the same thing". Needless to say, I won't be purchasing anything from her dirty, rat infested shop whose only positive feature is its proximity to work.
