The Backyard is the best neighborhood bar in Baltimore. Expertly curated wine and spirit list, knowledgeable and friendly staff with amazing food and cocktails that are all very reasonably priced. It is am absolute hidden gem!
This is a great, classic Baltimore corner bar. It's in a cool old building, the beer selection is good, and the food is very good; definitely a step above the normal bar food. I haven't had the tinned food, but I have had dinner there several times and everything I have ordered has been good. Service is friendly. The resident dog and cat are friendly.
Honestly, I'm mostly in the game store upstairs (Silver Canon) playing games when I'm there, not hanging out in the bar, but it seems like a good bar to hang out in. This is actually my favorite place to play because it's above this bar and has good beer and food available. There are also board games available to play, and a handy game store upstairs as well. Just an all around great place. If you live around or are visiting this area, you should go to the Back Yard.

This is a great neighborhood bar. The food is tasty (and way beyond the expectations of bar food), the staff is delightful, and clientele are great. Everything I want in a neighborhood bar!

I can't believe I've never written a review about the Back Yard! I've been going since it opened and it is a real hidden gem of Baltimore! The food is amazing, the cocktails are fire, the owner Mike and his team are fantastic people! You walk in and instantly feel like you're family. If you're just in town for a couple nights looking for a great spot, this is it. I once met a couple traveling from the Midwest for a baseball game and we just started chatting and turns out we had a mutual friend in DC - it's just the kind of spot where no one's a stranger (unless you want to be). If you're a neighbor and you've never been yet, you don't know what you're missing!

We just celebrated my mom's 50th birthday here and the first word that comes to mind is WOW. This place hit it out of the park with their service, food, and drinks. We had about 25 people and the back patio was perfect for our party size. Even in the summer heat, it was shaded and the fans kept us cool. The staff were so kind and helpful even as we were setting up. For food, we chose the pizza, caprese panini, steak sandwich, turkey and brie sandwich, tots, salad, and charcuterie. Everything was absolutely perfection. Afterwards we walked to Camden Yards to catch the ballgame! I truly couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate my mom.

Beautiful indoor bar. Nice outdoor patio. Cool on a hot summer night and nice to be outside. Food was great and so were the drinks! Beautiful sitting outside looking at the round house of the B&O Museum. Indoor vibes were great. Chatty and fun.

The space is tight. The bartenders aren't bubbly but they are knowledgeable and kind. It's a great hang.

This is not your average corner bar. Service that is knowledgeable and talented. The selection along will rival any place in town but with a humble attitude this little bar has something for everyone. Food selection is on point and made with care. Truly a great place and I will be coming back often

I discovered Back Yard Baltimore tonight…and what an experience! First, I had the privilege of meeting Gustavo, the resident host, who you can see in the photos. I started my dinner with my first foray into tinned fish- so much better than I was expecting. Then I had (half of) a Detroit style pizza with prosciutto, hot honey and hot sauce that was absolutely spectacular! The vibe of the place was so laid back and welcoming. So cool and looking forward to my next visit to Baltimore to see them again.

Great vibes
Best neighborhood bar! Excellent food immaculate vibes.
45 minutes for an okay panini with way too much garlic and +$4 for 12 tots. Owner doesn't care about times and doesn't check in. Good luck.
