The ice cream was good, but the milkshake was inedible. It had a very strange chemical taste. I read a review or someone else at the same thing two years ago! Stick with a scoop of ice cream.
had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. I paid $8 (including tip) for a single scoop, and the quality just wasn't there. The texture was watery and had an icy, frozen-pallet feel — more like a sorbet gone wrong than rich, creamy ice cream. For the price, I expected much better. Disappointing experience overall.
Chances are you stopped here while at union, but if not, you should detour your way over. Great ice cream, great service, and color changing spoons!
We had my daughter's 5th birthday at the Charmery and it was perfect for her special day! Gina the manager is super responsive, thorough, professional, and flexible when creating the event and catering to specific preferences. We were able to extend our time, pay an additional fee to have the venue to ourselves, and bring in outside food and a dance/movement instructor for additional entertainment. They include a super cute bracelet making activity that the kids loved, a scavenger hunt that led them to prizes to fill a goodie bag to take home, and a tour of the factory, along with ice cream itself. Sydney was our party host and did a great job of corralling 20+ 3-5 year olds and managing transitions from one activity to the next. I highly recommend having a birthday party at the Charmery with Gina and Sydney!!
Great flavors for ice cream
The ice cream was melty and drippy. The serving sizes were also very small and overpriced. It was very disappointing. I would not recommend coming here to anyone. I paid almost $25 for two small cups of ice cream that were so watery I ended up not eating most of it. My child who loves ice cream also did not want to eat theirs. I'm going to go home and see if I can put the cups in the freezer. The flavors were also underwhelming. 🥺 The decorations and space were nice though.
Edit: after freezing the ice cream, it tasted much better and had an ice cream consistency😁. When we got it, it was goopy like bad soft serve 🥺
There was no one in here when I came on a Sunday afternoon. The girl with the black and red dread’s hair landed in my milkshake multiple times as I watched her make it, then she touched her hair again with the same glove she used to grab the cherry to put on top. To top it off, she handed it to me with whip all over the side and I had to clean it off. I’d recommend Taharka Bros or Bmore Licks.

My husband and I went to this ice cream shop which I took notice it had good reviews. Well, I won’t be coming back here again: ordered a milk shake and it was horrible and had a small ice cream which it’s fair…
The service was a 1 star, the young ladies didn’t even wanted to be there…
I advise to go somewhere else for ice cream

$11.99 for a pint of ice cream is a little extreme but my husband and I gave it a try. Honestly the ice cream was mediocre and their service was as bland as their ice cream. I would take your money elsewhere

Brownie sunday was the "proverbial cherry on top" at an ice cream date with my daughter. Pricey, but what isn't these days.

Just so so. But they do make the ice cream there.
Delicious ice cream, great customer service!
We had our sons 6th birthday party their this past weekend. What a fantastic place to have a party. The staff was very helpful in setting up the event. They were very patient with us despite us being very late in responding to emails. The day of the party was great. They had a long table in the back with bleachers set aside and a side table for food. We were able to arrive 30 minutes before the party to decorate. The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The kids loved the party. They did a scavenger hunt around the place to get little trinkets for goodie bags. Then they did a craft where they made ice cream cone pictures. Finally was the tour. As others have said, walking through the freezer was the highlight of the tour. Then it was ice cream time. Everyone got their own choice of flavor. And they brought all the bowls out to us, which was completely unexpected!Parking at the place is tough as there is a small parking lot, and there are a bunch of popular businesses at the Union Collective. My only negative is they didn't have the flavor Ice Cream Sando. But I'll let them pass on that one.
The Charmery holds a special place in our hearts! After a long hiatus due to unforeseen circumstances, we returned for our beloved "last ice cream before school" tradition. The experience was flawless - the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Although the seating area was cozy, we could have spaced out the tables a tad more. But hey, that didn't stop us from savoring the delectable treats.
