What a let down. Went here with a party of six at 8pm on a Saturday night. The place look good, nice vibey music. We ordered our food 4 appetizers and 4 main dishes a drinks. The appetizers were our in 5 min, cold dumplings, overdone beef salad. The spice condiment trio had no prik nam pla, just saracha, chili powder and an oil. As we were distributing our appetizers the mashed ns are iut. There was no room for our individual plates on the table. They did not stage the food at all. This really ruins a nice dinner with family.
The “extraordinary “ crab fried rice was simple mediocre fried rice topped with some lump crab meat. Surprise surprise.
Six people had consumed food, packed leftovers and paid the bill n 45 min. That is the only extraordinary thing about this meal and place. We were definitely in no rush and never expressed anything about this me constraints.
We had planned this visit to Baltimore for a few months and this was apparently the place to get good Thai food. But it’s all relative, really not that good.
Definitely can’t recommend the place and won’t go back.

Always loved Red Star, and the Dara has kept the best elements while also delivering amazing Thai food. I highly recommend the $19 business lunch special. Haven't any anything yet that wasn't delicious. Looking forward to making my way through the menu.

This is the best Thai food in the Baltimore area. It's elevated cuisine that's unlike the typical Thai food offerings at other Baltimore Thai restaurants. This is my second time visiting, and it will not be my last.

Always a great spot to grab some good food and drinks. Being a Thai spot, The Dara brings something different to the neighborhood that's filled with plenty of pub-fare bars and restaurants. We got the papaya salad and chicken sateh to start, then drunken noodles with crispy chicken thigh (my go-to) and panang curry with beef as our entrees. For drinks we got the Never Too Much (tropical Rum-based cocktail with Campari and a mango foam) and the Lychee Mojito. Everything was incredibly tasty as always, and the service was kind, timely, and genuine, as it always is. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Takeout was delicious! As we waited inside for the food, we watched the bartender make fancy drinks so definitely want to be back for that! Wish the portions were a little bigger but were flavor packed!

One of the best Thai restaurants in Baltimore. They also have an incredibly affordable Business Lunch deal, which provides 1 appetizer and 1 main entree for only $19 dollars. I came with a party of 4, and with each of us choosing this deal, we were able to sample 4 different appetizers and 4 different mains. The boneless fried chicken and lotus root were the standout appetizers. The fried rice was also fantastic. It's rare to see an affordable meal as good as this.

I stopped by The Dara about an hour and half before closing, and I’m so glad I did. The food was absolutely amazing—very authentic Thai cuisine in a rustic, cozy atmosphere. First time there and I was impressed by Katie behind the bar. She was absolutely amazing—great service, very knowledgeable about the menu, pleasant and friendly to talk to, welcoming, and gave excellent recommendations.

I ordered Thai fried rice with fried chicken thighs, and my friend had the pad Thai with fried chicken thighs. The flavors were vibrant and perfectly balanced. The portions were generous and the quality truly impressed.

Overall, love the food and the vibe. I’ll definitely be returning soon to try more 🤗🤗🤗. If you’re craving authentic Thai in a rustic, cozy setting with top-notch service, this place is a must. Also the harbor is literary a block away, perfect for an after meal stroll 🚶‍♂️! Great Area!!

The Dara in Fells Point absolutely delivered. I had the boneless fried chicken wings — ultra crisp, juicy, and perfect with the herby chili dipping sauce — and the drunken noodles with wide, chewy rice noodles, and that perfect basil-kissed heat. These are the noods I definitely want to see in person again 😏.
Fast, friendly service and full of flavor — this spot is a win.
