Yummy yummy in my tummy! Go now
Fun place! Their cocktails are the best thing about the establishment. Loved the friend catfish and tostones I got for restaurant week. The white rice with red beans could of used a bit more seasonings for me but overall still tasty. Our server Taylor was lovely and attentive. She lowered the music since we were sitting right underneath a speaker. Definitely will be coming back with friends!

We had a wonderful time and wonderful meal. Empanadas were fantastic and the owner and bar tender were extremely nice and very accommodating.
Took the opportunity to come for brunch and am far from disappointed! Party of three and we got beef, pork, turkey, salmon, shrimp, and veggie empanadas, along with the blueberry and hibiscus mimosas. Everything was excellent and SO flavorful, served with a delicious ‘nada sauce that had just the right level of spice and kick. The mimosas were delicious and worth going back for. Also, family friendly - the baby loved all of it! Highly recommend, do NOT skip this place, even beyond Restaurant Week!

The Empanada Lady was fire!! From the moment my group and walked in we were greeted with such warmth. You could literally feel the love. They took no time to get us water without us even asking. Everyone person we met was so sweet and hospitable. Down to the owner who we had no idea even was the owner at first. She blended right on with her team and she did not put on airs or anything. When we introduced ourselves to her she was sweet and warm! The hospitality was top tier!
Now to the drinks...so good!! The lemon drop, fire! The Chailada (Chai with Pina Colada), fire, the green tea shots, fire!
The food...SO GOOD and FLAVORFUL!!
The salmon empanada, fire, the rice and beans stew, OMG just so dag on good!! The bread pudding, fire! I cannot wait to go back!

Sky, our server for the evening, was phenomenal. You literally get the best of all worlds walking into this place! Great food, attentive service and the ambiance is out of this world. Black owned business heading in the right direction!! This was my first time here since I was visiting from Philly, but will definitely be back to try more empanadas! The name of the restaurant speaks volumes. Thank you Empanada Lady ❤️

Took my Mom out for a late lunch yesterday 12-18-2025 around 3:00pm. We arrived in the restaurant and there's only one man at the bar the restaurant was empty and quiet , we were told to sit anywhere near the window due to them setting up for a party... okay cool.. Mom and I sit down scan the menu, the waiter came took our drink orders, explained the menu since we were new customers. Since we came with an appetite we were ready and very excited to try the empanadas.
We ordered the combo platter that comes with 6 different empanadas a choice of 2 sides and 2 cupcakes for dessert..for $60.99 I got a Modelo Mom got a Coke.. Somehow the bill ended up being $90+
Anyway the waiter brought our chips and salsa out first then the nadas and our second side of plantains. The chips and salsa were fair.. we were expecting more of a tortilla style of chip though and the salsa had a marinara sauce taste. The empanadas were delicious but could have been fried slightly less they were fried very hard.
My problem was mainly about how we were treated our server never came back to ask how the food was ask if we needed refills or anything. When he finally came back he said he was preoccupied with setting up that event, so he knew he wasn't attentive to us, when I asked for the boxes and check the seemed to struggle with proving everything all at once which left me so get up go to the bar to get the physical check, that's when I realized we didn't get the cupcakes we were looking forward to.. waiter said he gave us two slices of cake for the troubles but I told him we didn't want the cake we preferred the cupcakes to which he said the cake was better but it wasn't it was coconut (we both don't like that flavor) Waiter asked if we would be returning I told him likely it due to lack of interest the restaurant seemed to have in us dining in.
***I will come back to update this post later to recheck my receipt because I'm not understanding that price of the final bill..

First time we went there and they were out of multiple things. Ended up placing a order after settling and then they came back and said they didn't have the meat that we asked for. Seemed like everyone who was waiting for food there had been waiting for a long time. The woman who was next to us was making comments about the wait. Wont go again

While I was excited to enjoy some authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, my experience was unfortunately disappointing. The arroz con gandules lacked the signature flavor I love, the drinks tasted watered down, and the empanada was noticeably dry. It may have simply been an off day in the kitchen, but the dishes didn’t reflect the care and passion I typically expect from this style of food. I truly hope the quality improves, because the potential is there.

the first time i went i asked for the manager to ask about employment and she ignored me the whole time. The empanadas hard as a rock. Second time i went, they were closed for an event and
Told me i can walk in at 5 to order. Well here it is now 5:11 and i walked in to order and im told i cant order. Mind you, i stayed at work all the way until 5 just so i could go walk in and get the food. Then after they turned me away i attempted to call back and ask who i spoke to to figure out why i was told THREE times to come order at 5, but they blatantly ignored my call. Ew! Disgusting! I tried to support boricuas but the two experiences i had were absolutely trash

Did a coquito tasting here. Had the pork and rice and peas, it was phenomenal. The beef empanada was one of the best I’ve had and the coquito was a 10/10. Would definitely come back
