One of my favorite places in the DMV. Excellent food, top-tier design and ambiance and the best music. And even more - was a a live saxophonist and violinist on two separate occasions. Every time I come whether it’s one friend or 5 we have an epic time. I love it here!
When I arrived on time I did request a booth even when one was open but the host decided to seat another couple on that space. Everything was nice besides that. My server saw my high top 3 times and wasn't great customer service. From a guest point of view I think she should have checked on us even after waiting almost 1 hour for our food to come out. Oh, she my steak came out my grace had to wait another 5-10 for his food to come out and that wasn't expected. Besides...
I really wanted to enjoy my meal, but the level of spice made it difficult. I understand the restaurant may be owned by someone with African roots, and I’ve visited Ghana and enjoy authentic African dishes myself. However, when you’re serving American-style dishes, the spice level needs to be adjusted or at least offered as a choice.
