I have used Local Oyster multiple times for events at my home. The oysters are great, and the service is fantastic. I would HIGHLY recommend using these folks for any oyster needs that you might have. Jen and Nick are fantastic!!

The Local Oyster, now known as Lil' Shucker, has been our caterer for four unforgettable oyster roasts, and they’ve never let us down. From the absolute best oysters in town to their seamless and good-natured service, the crew knows how to make a great event. They handled everything, leaving me free to enjoy the party. I can't sing their praises enough—if you want the ultimate oyster experience, Lil' Shucker is it.

Jen did an AMAZING job! She came, set up, served and cleaned up with no fuss. The oysters and shrimp were delicious and made our party fantastic. Highly recommend The Local Oyster for at home catering.

Oh my gosh Local Oyster!!! I have too many amazing things to say about them and especially Jen W who helped me with their catering options for my wedding!! Jen was amazing and broke down all options and pricing and worked with me to find the right fit for our weddings needs. She also helped me arrange a wonderful surprise for my new husband, a lovely seafood tower for two in a separate boat house. The quality of Local Oysters stock was out of this world amazing, the staff that came was incredibly friendly fun and cool, and their set up was beautiful! You would be crazy not to hire them to do ANY event!!! They were so so so wonderful and pricing was good too ❤️ we love Local Oyster and the very sweet cool people who work there! HIRE THEM!

Where to begin! My husband and I weren’t originally going to include oysters in our cocktail hour, but after talking with Nick at a bridal show, we were easily convinced! He and his partner Jen were incredible to work with.

Communication before our wedding couldn’t have been easier. Jen is the perfect mix of laid back but meticulous in details so there was absolutely no stress going into our big day.

And talk about a HIT. I had aunts and uncles texting me the day after our wedding absolutely raving about the service and quality of the oysters. Some had even mentioned they’ve never been to a wedding where all-you-can-eat oysters were served.

But that wasn’t even the half of it. Not only did Jen hand deliver an entire dozen of oysters to my husband and I during cocktail hour, she took photos of the setup to share with me, and even took photos of the beautiful charcuterie spread my friends put out right next to the oyster setup. I’m so thankful, otherwise I would have never seen it. And it didn’t stop there. Jen took it upon herself to have her and her amazing staff clean up the cocktail area after guests had left. When we went up to that area the next day, we were expecting a big cleanup and there was almost nothing left to take care of.

If you are on the fence about hiring this amazing team, don’t be. I guarantee you’ll be greeted with the same kindness, efficiency, and delicious oysters as we did. Thank you again Jen, Nick & team!!

Nick set up and manned the raw bar for our son's rehearsal dinner. He was fun and very knowledgeable about the oysters. The set up looked amazing, and everyone enjoyed the oysters and chilled shrimp. Thanks for everything!

The Local Oyster NAILED IT with our daughter's birthday. Are oysters and shrimp cocktail over the top for a first birthday? Yes. Was it dope? YES. They were absolutely a delight to work with. Local Oyster absolutely killed it for our wedding. We had some specific custom requests that they hit perfectly. Everything was delicious and beautifully arranged. The team was very friendly and accommodating and even bailed me out when I forgot an extension cord. I’ve already recommended them to all my friends.

I have always loved the Local Oyster and wanted to do something different for my birthday so I reached out to Jen about catering my party. I am so glad I did!!! The oysters and shrimp were AMAZING! They brought 3 different minionettes for the oysters and all were delicious! They brought everything for their super cute set up and took everything with them when they left. They happily shucked for my guests in the cold and I think had a good time themselves! Jen was very accommodating and easy to work with while planning. I can’t wait to have them shuck at another party!

We work with The Local Oyster every year for a special event for NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore. They put together a beautiful raw bar that's a highlight of the evening. The setup was perfect, oysters were fresh and delicious, and Jen is amazing to work with. Highly recommend—you won’t be disappointed!

We've worked with Jen and Nick since they got their start at the Monument lighting probably a dozen years ago. We liked their product and their service and decided to hire them for our company events (about 50-85 people). That was about 20 events ago, and I couldn't be happier with this relationship. They're fair, responsive, the product is excellent, and the service is always spot-on. I really like these people.
