pleasant service but the food is unfortunately flavorless.
We came to Mt. Washington Tavern for a work holiday party, so we were able to try a wide variety of tasty dishes. Everything from calamari to steak medallions to egg rolls was absolutely delicious. Literally everything I tried was delectable.

This is a beautiful quaint place to eat in Baltimore, Maryland. The food was immaculate. I will recommend it to others. Atmosphere was rustic, and beautiful.

I visited this restaurant with a friend, and while the experience initially seemed pleasant, we encountered a significant issue after I checked the bank account. I paid the amount presented to us and left tips, but the next day, I discovered that more money had been deducted from my account than I expected.
When I called the restaurant to inquire about it, their staff insisted that if the total exceeds $150, they automatically take a higher tip. However, the amount on our check did not reflect that. After this, they mentioned that the department handling such matters only operates for two hours a day. They suggested I leave a voicemail for them to get back to me.
I also sent them an email and left a voicemail, but no one ever reached out to me, and the extra charge was never refunded. This experience has been frustrating, to say the least.
I would recommend that customers keep their receipts and double-check their bank statements after paying.

Still a great restaurant, but I had to edit my review from six months ago. I've been here twice in the last month and a half and the wait staff seems stretched thin. No returning to check on the patrons because they are covering the entire room. Meanwhile, the hostesses are on their phones.
I'm worried things are starting to decline.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. While sitting at the bar, I discovered a cockroach and had to kill it myself. I immediately informed the manager, expecting some kind of apology or acknowledgment, but instead, he was completely unapologetic. He took the menu from me and walked away without offering any sort of solution. Extremely disappointed on how he handled the situation.
I have had mixed experiences at the tavern in the past but last week I hosted a last minute work lunch there for 20 people. The service was excellent (our server Buckley was outstanding) and the food , drinks and atmosphere were perfect. This will definitely be our go to place from now on.

When we looked for wedding venues in Baltimore, we kept running into places that charged thousands just to book the space. The Mt. Washington Tavern, on the other hadn, was in our budget, wonderfully unique, and run by a professional and welcoming family. They do it all in house: food, drink, flowers, cake, decor, tables and chairs, candles--all included in your price!
Our coordinator, Mary, ensured that our day went off without a hitch and that the few outside vendors we needed (DJ and photographers) knew exactly where to be. Holly was fantastic for creating flower arrangements, bouquets, boutonnières, and unique cuff corsages. The staff kept the party flowing and made sure everyone had a great time. We loved the touches of Baltimore, from the crab cakes and oysters during cocktail hour to the Preakness decorations. Check out the Tavern if you want a space that will treat you like family and won't cost an arm and a leg!
