We stopped into The Point on a hot, humid summer day, hoping for some cold drinks and good food. Honestly, the best part was getting seated immediately… which in hindsight might’ve been a warning sign 😅.
We sat at our table long enough to contemplate our life choices before a waiter finally appeared. We were this close👌🏾to leaving when they took our drink order, and then disappeared again like we imagined them. It wasn’t even crowded, so the wait was extra confusing 🤨.
Because service was already giving “don’t do it,” we played it safe with appetizers. The fried deviled eggs? I managed one bite and immediately regretted being adventurous. The crab dip tasted like a tub of cream cheese with commitment issues — barely any seasoning, and the crab must’ve been on vacation 🦀. The brown sugar wings were… fine. Not good, not bad, just “okay,” like something you’d eat at a cookout where you don’t really know anyone.
At this point, I’m convinced some of the glowing reviews are from very hydrated (aka drunk) people because I did *not* experience the hype 🍻😂.
We ended up leaving and finding another place to actually eat because it genuinely felt like we wasted money and stomach space. Overall? The Point just missed the point.

First off shout to Treasure because she was the BEST server I’ve had !!! She was very attentive to us, she checked up on consistently but not in a bothersome manner. Her energy was good vibes and we enjoyed her. The food was as really good and the atmosphere was good too. It’s my new favorite brunch spot when visiting Baltimore

Service was very slow. Our server disappeared. I had the crab tater tots and they were okay the prices seemed very reasonable

Upon reading other reviews, a bit confused by my family’s experience here this past evening and why our service/experience as so poor when others had a much more pleasant time here…
My family (4 of us) had came in around 7 for dinner on a Wednesday. Wasn’t busy. Got seated at a table that we were told immediately, “We’re going to need this table at 8:30 for the DJ.” Truly bewildering why we were sat somewhere that would have a time restriction on it, especially when there were other tables that seemed available. Not sure why the employee felt the need to tell us this, either, or how that’s our problem. It made us feel like we weren’t welcome right from the jump.
It took another 10 minutes before we even got menus and a drink order put in. Then another 20 minutes before anyone came by to check on us and take our order, which I would totally understand if the place was busy. But our server spent her time chatting with the same customer at the bar nearly that entire time while we waited to order. All the while, we’re nervous that we were going to get kicked from our table given the other bartender/server’s comments when he sat us.
We didn’t place our food order until 8 and still no sign of our food at 8:30. The server, once again, never checked us on this entire 30 minute period. Not once. The few other patrons didn’t have food, either. We were wondering why the food was taking so long; these were the only times, and I mean the ONLY times, our server ever stopped by to our table was when she somehow overheard us mentioning how long things were taking and how frustrated we were that we were being ignored. There were no apologies, only excuses. “Our food is made from scratch and takes about 30-35 minutes.” Interesting when we overheard another server mention how the people (who got there before us) had their order put in at 8 and still didn’t have their food at 8:45. I don’t get it—if the kitchen is backed up, then just say that instead of making excuses and making us, the customer, feel like we’re crazy for being upset at the quality of service.
(Just to mention, another couple had came in around 8 and waited between 3-5 minutes to be seated. They eventually left because they were ignored, too).
To top it off, they added a 20% automatic gratuity despite it only being 4 of us and not 5 like their policy states. It sucks because when we finally got the food (35 minutes later), it was delicious!! We would’ve been fine with waiting if the server seemed the least bit apologetic for the long waits & having a decent reason not to check on us, but instead she ignored us most of the evening then tacked on a gratuity because her service didn’t deserve a 20% tip. I usually tip more than 20%, but when you’re talking with your friend over at the bar for 50 minutes instead of serving customers, yeah, that’s a problem.
Disappointed, to say the least, especially since the food was so good and the environment was great (which is why I’m giving it 2 stars instead of 1).

Went for Brunch today and I ordered the Sausage and Chicken Gumbo to start...oh my goodness, the cutest little lady brought it out and told me I made a good choice and she was definitely right!! It was filling and came with rice. I really didnt need anything after that, but I also opted for the bottomless Rum Punch so I still had to get an entrée. The little lady even came out and asked me if I enjoyed it and rubbed my arm. I wanted to take her with me lol!! Id go back just for her❤️

Very loud and noisy environment! I came here for a dinner with a group and we were in the upstairs private area which was extremely loud with high ceilings and the sounds just reverberated off the ceiling. It was super hard to hear talking and getting to know people. The wings were good but I anticipated more for the price. Desserts were mediocre and though the apple cake that I had was good and a nice large portion, the icing was too sweet and affected the cake itself. Probably would not get dessert again here.
Should I come back, I'll probably get a burger or something and try something else. Don't get me wrong, the wings tasted great, but they weren't filling. It might have been different if I came here to watch a game and sit in the bar area.
