Been a huge fan of Chef Jasmine Norton for several years. When our plans changed and we postponed our annual anniversary trip to Jamaica, there was no other restaurant that I wanted to have dinner in than The Urban Oyster. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by their warm and staff, it set the tone for the entire experience. We started off with raw oysters from Chincoteague and Canada that were flavorful and had the perfect balance of flavor and salt. I then indulged in the lobster bisque which had me wanting more but I knew I needed to save room for the main course. I selected the Seared Scallops and my husband had the Branzino. Both dishes were perfectly prepared and left us with no room for dessert. My only regret is that I didn’t take pictures for the review because we were too busy enjoying every moment! Urban Oyster, you exceeded this foodie’s expectations and we will be back soon! Thank you for making our 15th anniversary so special!

I brought my dad here for a pre-show dinner and we both left extremely happy! I am familiar with all the restaurants in the area and the seafood focused menu fits in as a great addition to 36th street. Our waiter was super knowledgeable and accommodating and the food and drinks were excellent. I will absolutely be coming back.

Yesterday I visited for first time and I was extremely impressed. The food was phenomenal, the aesthetics were beautiful, and the service was great. I will definitely be back and I recommend that you dine in this clean and beautiful establishment as well.

Good food, nice atmosphere, very uneven service. First courses came out very quickly... then we waited for over 35 minutes for our entree. Killed my buzz. Waitress finally dropped it off with no acknowledgement or apology as to how long it took. She was nice but not very friendly. Anyways, one and done for me.

My husband surprised me for my birthday!

Walking through the door, I was overwhelmed with joy. The space is stunning, the food was exquisite, and the service was exceptional. Katie took wonderful care of us, making my birthday celebration feel truly special.

We’ve followed the journey of The Urban Oyster since we first encountered them years ago at a wine festival, then again on a hotel rooftop, and later at the farmers market. Seeing their dream come full circle fills my heart with happiness.

My first time here. I really love it. Sat at the bar. Had super fresh half dozen oysters, an amazing crab/pesto cavatelli, and fantastic soy green beans. My GnT was a perfect blend and the house white chenin was just fine. Couldn't be happier. I'll be back

Found them via Instagram and what a delight! The atmosphere, customer service and food were all grate! It being black, woman owned is a bonus. Everything we ordered was great except for the lobster bisque. We will definitely go back again, and again.

The staff was amazing, front the hostess to the very attentive bartenders. I really enjoyed my visit. The drink options were very good! “Luck be a Lady” was top tier! The food was delicious, slight issue with the over cooked Chicken Oscar but it was still good. Small desert selection and sizes of the desserts. I would definitely recommend and return!

This restaurant Urban Oyster in Baltimore is off the change. I not a fan of oysters but these Chargrille Oyster were awesome very tastefully. They have 3 different flavors and they were all good. I would recommend this restaurant to any one and I will be back. The waitresses was very nice and Kind. I can't remember her name but she had red hair.

The service and atmosphere were pleasant, but the food fell short, especially considering the price. I ordered a shrimp, catfish, and oyster taco, but unfortunately, all three tasted the same with no distinct flavors. This was disappointing given the cost. The oysters I ordered were heavily loaded with cheese, leaving very little actual meat. My friend ordered a crab pasta dish for $35, and while I wasn't surprised by the price, I was disappointed that the portion was so small—only about a quarter of the bowl was filled. For that price, I expected much more.

Wanted to eat here on my birthday, had my family and friends. Made a reservation over the phone. When we arrived, they said we never made a reservation. The only accommodation they can come up with is sit outside. I wish I had a picture of the seating outside I was suppose to sit in with my white dress and a group of 7. Now mind you this is at 7pm on my birthday I was super pissed.

We'd been wanting to try this spot for a long time. The ambiance was very nice and our overall dining experience was great. It's definitely important to have a reservation because the establishment is cozy. Also, give yourself plenty of time to find parking.

I came here twice on a Saturday going according to Google this establishment states it opens at 11 and it is not. I’m highly disappointed, what a waste of gas & time driving here. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR INFORMATION ON GOOGLE.
