I tried curry rice in one restaurant. The curry rice tasted salty, but the meat was tender. There was also a spicy chicken in it. I prefer the spicy taste. This one is a bit expensive, but everything else is OK.

We loved our experience at Verandah Kitchen. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish packed with flavor and beautifully presented. We ordered a variety of small plates, and each one was a hit. The vibe was perfect—great music, welcoming ambiance, and a space that felt both lively and comfortable.

The service was top-notch from start to finish. Warm, attentive, and thoughtful. We even had the chance to meet the owner, who was incredibly kind and engaging—it’s clear this place is run with a lot of heart.

We’re already planning our next visit and have a growing list of dishes we’re excited to try. Highly recommend Verandah Kitchen for anyone looking for memorable food and a standout dining experience!

I visited with a group of friends who had dined before and loved the food and the vibe. We specifically visited for the goat curry which had a lot of potential but was salty. The meat was tender and the best I have had in Baltimore. We got chilli chicken which was also salty but again, good. The pakoras was good. The shikanji was insanely good. However, my biggest issue with the place is the quantity. The goat curry was not enough for one and costed $25!!! Would highly recommend the place to work on the quantity. It's a little on the expensive side. Would definitely visit again though.

My family and I enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal here. Every small plate that came out was more delicious than the one before. Not to mention, the owner Radhika was just delightful and we enjoyed meeting her. The restaurant is small and intimate, but they easily moved tables to accommodate our party of 5. We have told so many people about the amazing meal we had at The Verandah Kitchen, and we will definitely be back!

Have lived in Baltimore for years and this place is a true gem. The depth of flavors in each dish are incredible. There are so many good things on the menu! The service is incredibly attentive and they are so kind. Would recommended 10/10 times. Thanks so much!

I had a really disappointing experience at Verandah Kitchen. The samosa was less than average, but good enough to eat. The chicken tikka masala, on the other hand, was honestly nasty — poorly prepared and barely edible. I brought it to their attention, but they still refused to take it off the bill. Completely unacceptable. I paid for everything and left it on the table. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Also, the manager had terrible attitude. When I said the food wasn’t good, she responded “it’s actually great food” — no it was disgusting!

Note: I am using my boyfriend’s account to write this review since I don’t have one.

The food is really good but the waitstaff is off. It took forever for our tea to come out whereas the people next to us who got in after had food already on their table and were being asked what they want even before us. Our water didn’t come around until a second person asked. Add on top that you’re forced to pay a 20% tip and I’m not happy. They seemed to see that I noticed and then informed the other party about it as well. Never going back

We went for Baltimore restaurant week and ordered the prix fixe menu, and it was delicious! The service was also great! The chef who created the menu came out and asked us how everything was and told us about the spice they made for the event. It was all really tasty and the servers were super nice. Would recommend!

We dined here tonight for one of our best friend’s birthdays and had an amazing experience! It is immaculately decorated and the food is amazing. Full of flavors, and such a fun way to experience a bunch of different meals with the small plates. The servers were attentive and very compassionate with our two small children <3

This cozy spot is a gem! It’s a small, intimate space with a thoughtfully curated menu, perfect for exploring flavors in small plates. The tapas-style setup works wonderfully here, with each dish standing out in its own way.

I ordered the Malai Kabab and Chicken Rista as small plates, followed by the Kohlapuri Goat Curry with Laccha Paratha. For dessert, I tried the Chocolate Mousse and Mango Kulfi.

The highlights for me were definitely the Malai Kabab and the Goat Curry. The kabab was creamy and delicious, while the mutton in the curry was melt-in-your-mouth tender – cooked perfectly! The Laccha Paratha was also spot-on, with a nice, flaky texture that complemented the curry beautifully.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience with friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back for more!

This was our first time here and we opted to eat outside right on the sidewalk. Overall, it was a great experience. We ordered 4 small plates + a plain naan. Everything was tasty and well seasoned. We had plenty to eat with the 4 dishes. I am giving the restaurant a 4 rather than a 5 for two reasons: the naan bread is not baked fresh and that’s unfortunate. Also, be aware that 20% service is included in the check. I almost gave another 20% until I realized it was already included. We are planning to return in the summer to try more dishes.
P.S. Different freshly baked breads are an important part of an Indian and they enhance the meal.
