I am saddened to write this review. First, some nice people work/worked at these restaurants and the Happy Grape (wine store). However, I was not surprised to see the Water Street and Key West are shut down by the Health Department for unsanitary conditions. Although the cooks would make my food as I requested, I got sick at least three times eating at this place--I told Aurelio, a bartender, that I had gotten sick on multiple occasions from the food and he responded that I should stop ordering food there. Reality, I had already made that decision myself--I only ordered drinks there and even then, I knew it was risky looking at the sanitary practices of the staff which I chalked up to being a dive bar. It's terrible that people are out of work while this place is shut down, but this place needs deep cleaning and renovations--I am disgusted and vindicated seeing that the Health Department shut them down. I am grossed to think of what germs sickened me and caused me stomach cramps and the runs....Hope they can overcome the issues.

This was an excellent diamond in the rough restaurant. The food was exceptional, the server was very professional and friendly. Unique decor and the crab cake had great flavor and textures.

The food was decent. We had the Maryland crab soup and beef brisket platter. Our waitress was excellent. She made us custom drinks, and they were good. The restaurant was pretty empty, but I suspect it picks up on the weekends. Anyway, I'd go back.

Don’t get the “New York Strip” stake. Get anything else

Service has gone downhill in this place. They go through staff so often, hard to keep up. The tall bartender is very rude who keeps headphones on his head was the last straw. He is unprofessional and does not know what he is doing. Won’t be back. Do not want someone like that touching my food.

Employees were fighting and making phone calls to management. Customers left and received incorrect orders. It was a disaster. Won’t go back.

I would not reccomend this place. Unfortunately we went on a game/event weekend and wanted to try this place out as locals. The dining room was only upstairs with one person waiting and bartending. While I totally get that being overwhelming, it was just completely disorganized. The management really needs more staff. We ordered a few beers and they were out of everything on tap other than one beer, and even out of canned and bottled options. We ordered food and waited 50 minutes only to overhear the waiter putting in the order at that point. One of the dishes we ordered was sold out and we only figured this out through hearing one of the chefs say it downstairs, the waiter did not tell us at all. We ended up just paying for the beers and leaving. Super dissapointing experience and really hoping this place gets it together because it is not looking good for them.

While spending the night in Baltimore I stopped in here for lunch because it was really close to the hotel I stayed in. I came because the reviews online were decent. When I got there, it was relatively dead, which was around noon on a weekday. I sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and quick to greet me. The venue looks like the typical dive bar, with lots of Key West decoration. I asked her what was good and she suggested a few things, including their crab cake sandwich and being in Baltimore, I decided to try it.

The sandwich was really good and the remoulade that came with it complimented it quite nicely! The fries were piping hot and tasty as well. I didn’t try the cole slaw that came on the side as it looked warm and not very fresh.

Overall, I enjoyed the food and can definitely see how this is a popular place for drinks and bar bites.
