They were unprepared for a large concert happening a block over and continued to seat tables despite the one server in an area. She did the best she could and the food was pretty good but the service was subpar. One of our party received their food 10 minutes before the rest of the party. We placed food/drink order at same time and only saw our server to deliver each and bring check.
Schedules for concerts at CFG arena are posted online, seems a good idea to know what your potential business is and plan accordingly.

Racists… terrible service, I arrived with my family who came from Puerto Rico to visit, we had visited several places in Downtown and we ran into this Taverna. We went for drinks and were greeted with a bad attitude. Our waiter was rude for the simple fact that we had a conversation between the family always speaking in our first language (Spanish) and for I don't know what reason he told us why we didn't speak English so he could understand and know if we were talking about him, not we should speak in Spanish between us. We got upset by his comment and asked to speak to the manager and to our surprise he claimed to be the manager. I couldn't take his name because he didn't want to give it. But he was a white man, medium-short hair, with a lousy attitude, it's not hard not to know who he is. It's sad to have to experience stuff like that in this century and more in the place you call home for over almost 10 years. They should not contribute to this place that apart from being racist you have more negative things than you could see with your own eyes. A call to the Latino community and other communities not to support places like this.

In from out of town for work. Perfect spot for a casual relaxed meal and great service. Aj said she was new but she held it down like a champ! The crab soup was fantastic.

Came by on Thursday night (2 days ago) and the bartender was awesome! She kept the bar lively, was super friendly, and didn’t stop moving. She was running both bars and still made sure everyone was taken care of. The vibe was great, and the food was amazing as always. 10/10 for both the bartender and the cooks!

Worse service ever!
We ordered two beers, and two Tavern Turkey Club sandwiches. A gentleman had just ordered a chicken with fries. He got is order very fast, and after more than 40 minutes, still no food. We paid for our beers, and left.

I stopped in here because the usual place I go was full. This may be my new usual place. Food was hot, fresh and delicious and the prices were reasonable. There was a good selection of beer at about six bucks a pint.

One of those hidden gems when you are looking for a bar. Bar vibe with great and tasty bar food. They also boast one of the best crab cake in Baltimore. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed

10/10! Food was absolutely Devine. My favorite was the fried zucchini. Im also somewhat of a cocktail SHnob & the drinks (rum punch) were also 10/10.

I was hangry and had a very good ceasar chicken wrap. It saved my life thank you. I didn’t take pictures of the disk but it was delicious and the french fries were SO crunchy

This spot was a short walk from our hotel we were staying in for the Orioles game and the food and drinks were the best we've had on our trip to downtown! Chi was such a hilarious and gracious bartender our service was incredible! We highly recommend the famous tavern wings YUM! 5 stars! we will be back!
