I went here for dinner with a friend and neither of us plan on returning. As a restaurant, it doesn't quite make sense. The menu only existed in 1 location on a chalk board that was hard to read and limited. The presentation of the food left a lot to be desired for the price point. The cheese plate for $24 didn't have enough bread and had extremely small dollops of the spreads for 2 people. My friend ordered the skate and didn't like it. I ordered one of the other entrees and it was decent but no presentation and a little overpriced for what it was. Drinks were fine. Bar service and staff was ok but similar to everything else didn't really match the branding of this place as higher end or that they cared about making it more of an experience. At its price point it is competing with some of the best restaurants in Station North and Harbor East and it doesn't compete at all. It seemed like the selling point was having some odd items like skate, blood cake but that looks like more of a novelty once people have tried them once.

Great food and drinks, and authentic atmosphere! If you are feeling Whiskey, then they have a Whiskey selection that is unmatched. They also do unique foods and pop ups that will keep you looking forward to what they will serve the next week. A must visit!

Been dying to go here since I moved to the area. Well worth the wait. Cozy vibes. Rotating menu makes me want to come frequently. We had the beef and cheddar sandwich with the gumbo then finished off with a Japanese milk bread pudding.

Service was also very friendly.

Great traditional pub. It’s a small space so if you are dining, get there early or you may wait. But if you do, have drinks at the bar! The staff is wonderful, food excellent, and drinks are perfect.

The food was good but the staff was not very friendly. Why would you advertise the kitchen to stay open until nine yet you start turning people away at 8:30? The person seating people wasnt very nice and treated us a little as an annoyance rather than a customer that should be welcomed in. I wouldn't completely avoid but also not in a rush to go back.

Cozy restaurant that is casual but serves more elevated pub food! We came right after it was covered in the NYT and waited about an hour on a Saturday for our table, but they had a text system in place so we went for a nice walk in the neighborhood! The staff was genuinely friendly, while they seemed overwhelmed with the crowds once we were seated we were always attended to and had nice chats. It feels similar to what a pub in Ireland would be like, chalkboard menu and all!

We had a great evening. I had not expected the food from that tiny kitchen setup to be exceptional but the chef utilized that space to perfection. Micheline star performance, nope but really good, let's call it polished rustico and I will be back.

Such a great, quiet little pub. Only had the bread and deviled eggs and they were amazing. The other food smelled wonderful so definitely need to go back!

Wonderful food and drinks, as expected based on past experiences at Le Comptoir du Vin. However, our meal was dampened by the attitude of the bartender the night we visited. Simple requests and questions earned us snarky responses, and we were scolded for resting the drink menu on the bar a certain way. We were walking on eggshells by the end of the meal. I understand that heavy crowds and short staffing make things difficult, but give your customers some grace.

There was no host to let you know waits or take reservations, after waiting an hour you are seated, also only one table for 4, so expect a long wait. when they come to take your order you have to ask about the menu- it is on a chalkboard, don’t you know?! The place is clearly overwhelmed, but I was most disappointed in the experience dealing with the server who is quite unhappy, and willing to pass that on to you. I hope they are able to improve their situation, but it is right now? Not worth the wait or money.
