From the first time I had Tio G’s Empanadas, I was hooked! I go to Lexington Market every Saturday And stopping to pick up eight empanadas for the week is mandatory. The dough is flaky, and the empanada is filled with your choice of beef Cheese, Chicken or crab with shrimp there are two different types of sauces, but the orange dipping sauce is my favorite. I visited this place when I was on vacation for new years. The flavor of the empanadas are unmatched. We drove 2 hrs to go back and get more. These are the only empanadas I will eat from now
All of the empanadas are FIRE ? (as in good) even the veggie one was delicious and I’m a huge meat eater. The flavors make them some of the best I’ve ever had! We got some extras to go and Jay informed me to reheat them in the air fryer and they’re just as good as fresh made, seriously ! The staff is also so welcoming, kind, and helpful with making decisions right for you and your hunger. I hope they open up more locations in the DMV, they definitely need one in VA.
