Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Today I ordered two Mango Magic smoothies ($7.69 each). I added the Spinach & Kale Super Pack ($1.00) to both and Peanut Butter ($1.29) to one of them. After tax, my total came to $22.53, which already felt a bit high, but I went ahead and paid.

The cashier didn’t hand me a receipt, so I grabbed it myself. That’s when I noticed two charges for an “Energizer” ($1.29 each). I asked what that was, and he seemed confused. He went to the register, then lifted a tablet out of one of the ingredient containers. I asked, “You put a pill in my drinks?” but he didn’t respond—he just continued making them.

It feels like they may be adding this “energy” pill without asking, since it doesn’t really affect the taste, and without a receipt most people probably wouldn’t notice the charge.

I didn’t make a scene, but I won’t be returning to this location. I’ll stick with the Pikesville store instead.

Each time I come in, everyone is always so pleasant, the wait is never long and my order is always right. Shoutout to Ms. Julia for always remembering my order and being so sweet.

Was all good until I damn near chocked off this while sipping my smoothie

I came in to get an açaí bowl, and at first the lady at the front didn’t hear me well i’d assume so she put the wrong thing inside my bowl. I went back calmly and asked for her to change my bowl and she automatically caught an attitude. She took it back then another lady made it and put even more of the thing i asked to take off. Both of them started to argue with me like I don’t know what i said out of my mouth. Extremely unprofessional experience and I hope they get that in check.

Bad customer service, when you walk in they don't speak they just look at you, Sandra was on her phone the entire time before taking our order. I'll never come back to this place.

The manager, Carlos, is extremely professional and solutions oriented. There was a miscommunication between myself and one of the cashiers when placing my order. As a result, a buy one/get one discount that I was entitled to was not applied. I was charged full price. I requested a refund, and was informed by Jessica that she was not able to execute the refund. Instead, Carlos, the store manager/owner would have to conduct the transaction. He was not in at the time, but Jessica assured me that he would take care of it. He did refund the money without a problem.

It’s very frustrating when staff don’t know how to execute discounts (sometimes it’s really not their fault if there’s no training), but it’s always refreshing when store managers and owners like Carlos come to the rescue to remedy the situation. Thank you!

Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s Island Green smoothie is a delicious, refreshing choice! Packed with kale, pineapple, banana, and spinach, it’s a healthy and satisfying drink that’s perfect any time of day. The flavors blend perfectly together, and it’s not too sweet—just the right amount of refreshing goodness. The cafe’s cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great spot to relax and enjoy a smoothie. Highly recommend trying the Island Green here!

Bad experience employees have a lot of attitude especially when you ask for your smoothie to be made a certain way I asked for extra white chocolate she threw the coco powder on the top of my already made smoothie without reblending it she was visibly upset and her and her friend started to talk about me in Spanish RUDE I asked her to reblend it she threw the stuff all around and smartly passed me back my cup the smoothie still was very disappointing she threw a pinch of extra in it I would return for a refund but I needed to be to work, wouldn’t recommend going here SERVICE IS BAD ! The girl name was Julie & Huk thumbs down

It's pretty clean. However, check your order. I ordered a plant based wrap, which they've messed up in the past by giving me chicken! Rushing, I ordered online and did a grab n go, knowing I should've CHECKED MY BAG! Got to work WITH NO TIME TO LEAVE AGAIN... just to find out it wasn't plant based AGAIN! I've been trying to get a refund for almost 2 weeks now. I've been told 4 different things so far, but none gave me my refund yet!

Vegetarian options: Check your food before you leave they've given me chicken twice when I ordered plant based!

Parking: It's in a shopping center with a parking lot.

I've been coming to this Tropical Smoothie location for about four years, ever since I started working in the area. Not once have I experienced rude service, a messed-up order, or any unpleasantness. They're always fast, courteous, and it's definitely my favorite spot to stop by before work.
