The absolute best place to get italian ice and soft serve ice cream, even on a rainy day! The lemon ice is by far the best ever and the soft serve is truly unmatched. The consistency from both the ice cream and italian ice are unique and delectable! There is nothing like it! Additionally, the staff are always nice!

I always look forward to TROPICOOL - opening up! I have been going to this company for DECADES and love the varieties of the Gelato toppings. I usually get a milk shake every year for my birthday. The Head Manager is very nice, she remembers her customers and service is smooth. I can't wait for this place to start the new year soon.

Happily, there was no line in the early afternoon after a hike in Lake Roland. But it was a hot day and the Italian ice and smoothie that my wife and I bought were perfect to cool down. Service has always been pleasant when I've gone to Tropicool.

I wish I had realized sooner that this place has much more than just snow cones. They have very good milkshakes in a variety of flavors and soft-serve also!
This owner/lady is a straight up b***** I have never been so disrespected by an owner at an establishment. she doesn't care how she speaks to people because she knows she still gets business. I can only imagine how she treats her workers. Never going back to this place, i would shut this place down if I could.

Water ice is ok; Prices are cheap. Have been here multiple times. Be aware that the customer isn’t always right.Came here today, ordered from a young employee, paid in cash and was a little surprised at my change. I asked the older lady now at the window (the owner and not the girl I ordered from) if the change was correct. She barked at me loud enough for everyone to hear “yes” like I was trying to rip them off. I just didn’t understand how $4 + $5 + tax resulted in $7.32 change from a $20.It turned out I’m not terrible at simple math and Maryland doesn’t have a new 50% food tax- We just didn’t get what I ordered (in that my daughter’s small water ice was wrung up as a larger size). Rather than complain again, we left and I ended up throwing must of her water ice away because it was too much for her. I had even tipped. The reason I’m writing this review is I know mistakes happen, but she didn’t need to make me look like a scammer for their error. She could have just asked me what I had ordered rather than assumed I was wrong.

The woman who was working there was rude to me without her even acknowledging it. She asked what I wanted I wanted a strawberry and chocolate water ice mixture. This mixture has chocolate chips in it so I ordered a chocolate chip with strawberry. Now this place has a mint chocolate chip too so she was confused and so I repeated to her my order. As soon as I repeated my order she fired back at me like I was a child that I needed to know that her place had both on the menu. I had said under my breath get over it lady I mixed up. Then she said in an aggressive tone of what did you say? So I let her have it I told her I did not appreciate being scolded so rudely. She had no response because there was nothing for her to say. She just looked at me. I told her her to keep it, I didn't want it! People should remember how to talk appropriately! This is a business the customer is always right. However, she never apologized! She probably does think she did anything wrong. I hope she doesn't treat the girls that work there this way.
