University Deli (Northeast Market)

The best sandwich and drink stand in NE market…. This is the only place I go for sandwiches. The meat is always fresh and drinks are perfect!!!!!

University Deli has the best triple mixes hands down. Whenever I'm over East Baltimore and I have time, sometimes I'll stop in for just a triple mix. And my son loves them too. They have a good variety of sandwiches, subs, and wraps to pick from. The last time I ordered the Reuben. It was good, but it could have used more dressing. Otherwise I give them 2 thumbs up. If it's the same owner as 7 years ago, she is really nice too. That's always a plus.

I went to stall 15A the name of the business is called Something Fresh. I asked for a carrot apple Ginger juice also requested that they use red apples. The young lady started making my juice by giving me a an entire cup of apple ginger juice. I told her that’s not what I wanted and she swore me down that I said apple and ginger. She gave me my money back without requesting my money back. I also asked now that I got my money back can she make me another juice and she refused. I was not being difficult with her. We had an exchange of words which made me get out of character and her response was I can say what I want too. This Lady was unprofessional and made me feel like I was less than her and insulted my intelligence. I would like to say that the customer is always right from a business perspective and regardless that she gave me my money back I still wanted to repay her to make me the correct drink. She was very unprofessional arrogant and rude. I also felt she had a Bias attitude towards young African Americans. I feel that my issue wasn’t resolved and something needs to be done immediately to resolve my issue with this particular young lady m. I will no longer support their business and will tell everyone else around that community not to support them. What I notice about that vendor is no one goes to that stall and I see why because of their level of professionalism. Something needs to be done immediately about this and it’s unacceptable

i love this market and feel pretty safe in regardless of the area. At this day and time all areas are dangerous so take a chance and come get your eat on. i love the cold cuts from ronnies but my favorite is the fish from Jackpot seafood where you pick it, they clean it and fry it.
