We had a great experience at Urban Axes with Coach Adam, who made the experience both instructive and fun. I left feeling like I learned a lot and would like to come back again. It’s cool that they are part of an international league and have knowledgeable coaches, rather than a random retail shop that could be run by anyone.

We recently had a work event at the Baltimore Urban Axes location and had an incredible time! Coach Kristin was fantastic, led us through all of them practice and got us throwing like pros in no time. She kept things lively and have encouragement and pointers throughout. We made the mistake of ordering from Domino's and the food didn't arrive until almost an hour after we had finished throwing axes, and the staff was super kind and generous in allowing us to hang out while we waited for dinner. I can't recommend this location and team enough!

What can I say, we had a fantastic time at ax throwing. We had a group of 6. We were seamlessly set up from deposit to release form to so much fun. Our instructor had great charisma and enjoyed each of our enthusiastic shouts for each other. We had so many rounds of thrilling competitions and nail biting tie brakers, it was one for the books. Highly recommend. It was amazing!!

I had an awesome time last night. A work group planned the event. I am retiring and this was a great send-off. The coach was amazing. She was very engaging. We were outside which made the event even better, as we were a bit loud. I was skeptical given my age. I will definitely return. This was a wonderful experience and so much fun. To add, the location was easy to find and they have a parking lot! Huge plus for me.

Nice axe throwing spot. There is a bar with various beer and canned cocktail options. Instructors are very friendly and they really try their best to be helpful. Unlike other axe throwing businesses, the instructors here stay with you the whole time and act like “coaches” offering advice throughout the session. The sessions are definitely more structured than other axe throwing places, which you may or may not like. Overall positive experience.

Great service and staff, lots of fun elements like leagues and different games to bring some extra competitiveness to the time. Generally though, it’s just really fun throwing axes at the target. This was more fun than I expected and I highly recommend it

Connor, our coach, was so cool and easy to work with! He got out The Big Axe for us to throw, and worked with us to improve our form and it helped us all have such a good time. My group closed the place down on a Saturday night. Worth EVERY penny. Adam and Brianna worked the bar. They were knowledgeable about their selection and made great recommendations. I loved how so many of their offerings were made locally.
