Food is ALWAYS on point and they have great customer service.

Kid-friendliness: It is a small intimate restaurant so I do not recommend it for young children.

Chef Sean and the team at Water for Chocolate continue to provide an elevated yet personal experience in the coziest restaurant.

Me and my husband have been going there together since we met, but I wanted to write a review now as we hosted our goodbye brunch after our wedding there.

We reached out directly to make sure they could accomodate our large group and Chef made sure to have a great and communal feeling area of the restaurant ready to go for us.

Most importantly - the food is SO good. We had many guests from all over in town and they were so impressed with the flavors, creativity, and level of service there.

This is truly the perfect spot for a date night, girls night, or event. We also had our engagement dinner here so it was truly full circle to have our wedding brunch there as well.

You are missing out if you haven't been to WFC yet - make a reservation today.

I’ve never actually been to this restaurant but this is the second year in a row I’ve used them for catering. Both times I called them on very short notice and they were eagerly able to accommodate our order. From sandwiches to goat Mac n cheese and salad….it was all delicious once again. Would highly recommend them for your catering needs!

Customer service and food were underwhelming. Ordered the ribeye steak dish, eggs were runny and the steak was horrible.

Table for four-

Servers were attentive.

The Brussel sprouts, side salad and stuffed omelet were vey good.

Ordered hangover…. Eggs were overdone and macaroni cheese was virtually refrigerator cold. Serve replaced macaroni but we had to wait 10 min.

Also Ordered chefs ribeye (med). The steak was welldone +++ like leather. They were willing to take off our bill but was very disappointed.

Good thing our table of four wa fun and interesting.

As this place has become more popular, it's choices and general atmosphere have gone down. A crab quesadilla had lots of corn to hide the small amount of crab, one plain coffee came in a huge cafetiere At a unannounced charge of eight dollars, they would not have accepted us without a reservation, even though the restaurant was half full the whole time we were there. It used to be such a friendly place with a lot of different choices.

I reserved the special for my GFs birthday, the 4 course meal. We had the place to ourselves, the waiter was EXCELLENT. He explained every dish, and drink. Made us excited for what Guy was cooking in the kitchen.

The drinks were delicious and adultfully boozy. The courses are large, please don't clear every plate that comes your way. We left with food because we were full by third course. Highly recommend.

I'll be back soon.

Our dinner at Water For Chocolate was, hands down, one of the most enjoyable and delicious meals we have eaten in a restaurant lately. The service was incredible and friendly, and the food was out of this world! Each course was a concert of unique flavors which, like a complex cocktail, had to be shared across the table so each of us could experience the tastes, textures and aromas. Water For Chocolate is, without a doubt, one of the finest restaurants in Baltimore serving up some of the most amazingly delicious food you will ever taste. Book a reservation here soon!

They will not let you make a reservation for a party of one. So I walked here. Then was turned away and admonished for not making a reservation.

I recently visited Water for Chocolate in Baltimore, MD, and had a very disappointing experience. I asked for medium-rare on my ribeye and received a medium-well to well-done steak. Our server was arrogant and had a careless attitude. He didn't come back with a resolution about the steak until my friend inquired. When he finally did, he asked me what I wanted to do about it, which showed a lack of care from the chef as well. They removed the steak from the bill, but I ended up without an entrée for my brunch. The management and customer service were poor. We repeatedly had to request water refills, and when the bill came, our friend's dish was overcharged by $5. When we brought this to our server's attention, he deflected by saying he doesn't make decisions and is just a messenger. We didn't need him to decide anything, just to inform the chef about the overcharge. I had initially liked this restaurant, but the lack of customer service, the poor quality of my steak, and the lack of response mean I won't be returning.

Reservation was for 5pm. It was for my Sorority Sisters Birthday, which I noted in the comment section of the reservation. The food was good, the atmosphere was quaint with a good vibe. Our server was accommodating & humorous. My disappointment was that we were appx 20 feet from the Chef and he never acknowledged our presence or came to wish my sister happy birthday, we were the only ones in the restaurant for about 45-50 minutes. We spent about $200 including gratuity...without a hello!

Came to visit family in Baltimore and ended up finding this lovely restaurant by Chef Sean Guy! Incredible dinner I had with my aunt. We loved evening. The food was full of flavor, great presentation and you can tell it's made with love. Will definitely come here again on my next visit. Cheers to the Chef and team! A must visit. ?????

Absolutely the best experience for a special occasion or just for a treat. The dinner tasting menu is not to be missed, with delicious, inventive dishes and impeccable, warm and welcoming service. Highly recommend!!

As always, an incredible experience at WFC. The flavor profile is potentially the best in Baltimore and the service is aligned as well. This is our favorite restaurant in Baltimore and we can't wait for our next visit.
