It's been about 3 years since I've been here. I almost didn't go because of all the negative reviews. I'm glad I trusted my past experiences.

I had another great experience. I ordered chick peas and potato roti, pholourie, and doubles. All well seasoned and good portions.

The customer service was very good and timely. I was in any it within 10 minutes.

Now for the bad - I had to go back for my tamarind and pepper sauce, as they forgot to include it and the sorrel was too sugary.

Other than that, I enjoyed my experience and will return the next time in in Baltimore.

Watery curry and no flavor. Roti/ Dhal Puri isn't made fresh. Goat was absolutely disgusting. Tasted like it wasn't cleaned or washed properly because it tasted like wild gamey meat. Goat should be cleaned in vinegar and water or salt and water. Rice was cheap long grain rice instead of good Jasmine rice.I was not happy. Service was all over the place and didn't know what they had left or what ran out. Just not together. Definitely would not recommend because you need pepper sauce just to give it flavor. The name is not suiting for this restaurant Because there's no real West Indian Flavors.

Visited on a Saturday because I wanted some doubles and they only have them on Saturday. They were delicious 🤤 I will be eating some more tonight.

Are we scared of seasoning?!
Okay so I ordered a buss up shot with potato and pumpkin. The pumpkin was good, the potato was WATERED DOWN! 😩the veggie roti was tastless… I need to see the cook because nothing about this tasted like authentic trini food. Growing up in Trinidad I’ve been to some bad food spots in my childhood. But THIS… yea no. The non Trinis can be fooled but you cannot fool a native. This is horrible!

Ive had several BAD TERRIBLE experiences at this place don’t waste your time and money the food use to be very good but now NOPE they always messing up your order and the owner is a absolute awful business owner she will take your order mess it up and when you bring it to her attention she likes to play dumb and offers no type of compensation whatsoever,I should know better than to support a business that has a sign that says no food return and no refunds but she will never get another penny from me

Since original owner left this place went down drastically, it's ashame that this is the only Trini restaurant for miles , no passion for the trade or culture it shows in the flavor

LAZY AND RUDE EMPLOYEES

I ordered food online via their website at 4:56 PM, and received the text confirmation that payment went through and that my food would would be prepared and ready for pickup in 35 minutes. I drove the 42 minutes across the city to pick up my food, and upon entering the restaurant, the two employees behind the glass looked at me with confusion and disgust. I was not greeted or asked if I could be helped. When I asked whether the food I paid for was ready I was told literally “we na have that”, and that my order was cancelled for ordering too close (1 hour) to closing time (this rule is not anywhere on their website or restaurant btw). When I said I ordered before that time they offered me the scraps they had left from the day (buss up shut). Needless to say I did not take that offer since I did not order that. I would like to say I am surprised but as a 1st gen Caribbean American I am unfortunately used to dealing with this poor customer service trying to enjoy my cultural cuisine. I am sure the food tastes amazing, but I was never given the opportunity to see for myself. Professionalism & work ethic are sorely needed at this establishment.

I was visiting Baltimore and asked a fellow Trini who was from Baltimore, “hey bro, where can I get a good Roti? He immediately responded with you have got to check out West Indian flavor restaurant.!!! I immediately called the establishment and spoke to Miss Glenda, and explained to her that I was visiting and looking for some good Trini food. She responded, “You better come soon because we sell out” Upon arrival, I think I ordered almost everything on the menu, I was hungry, eyes bigger than my stomach 🤦🏽‍♂️!!!
My order consisted of one chicken roti with sliced pepper, an oxtail dinner, a shrimp dinner, both accompanied with rice and peas with cabbage but was disappointed they didn’t have any more Mac and Cheese. Also ordered some Pollari, one doubles just to check it out 👍🏽 two bake and salt fish, two solos and two Peardrax.
Like I said, I was hungry, the doubles was tasty, oxtail, tender, and juicy bake and salt fish 👍🏽 I will definitely be back!!!

I went there today and got the large curry chicken or should I say curry bones!!! There was very little chicken and plenty of bones. Do I look like a dog? I was very upset when I returned to work only to find a dish of green bones!! You get plenty of peas and rice but for almost $20 I expected more! Guess that was why it was empty! Save your money and go somewhere else!!! So disappointed!!!

This is actually my favorite spot but they have there picks on great service. The older lady has poor customer service she’s rude. I ordered two doubles and goat bussupshut. The doubles were old I return she was rude in denial and when she did take it back they made mine from back which they never do so as I get home start eating the chana was not done big hard like uncooked beans also they put so much pepper on them. How can I trust a spot like this when they play with your food out of spite. The goat might be old as well my stomach still hurts. This only Trinidad spot I know any suggestions in Baltimore City area or just in Md I’ll travel for some good food. I wish I had photos but I literally threw the doubles out. The goat will be next.

The food at West Indian Flavor II is not good or tasty. Rice and beans were really dry. Cabbage was too crunchy and mixed with other vegetables (broccoli florets and carrots) not requested. Oxtails were small, hard with so much cartilage and not well seasoned. There was hardly any sauce in anything. I could not eat the meal. It costs $23.00/each and I bought 2. Both went into the trash. Pineapple and soursop drinks were weirdly foamy and costs $10 ea.

Staff were attentive and congenial. Service was quick as I was the lone customer. There were no diners at lunch hour. I will never eat food from this place again.

NOTE: West Indian Flavor II is not Royal Maroon, which is directly next door (inside of Blue Caribbean. Royal Maroon had absolutely scrumptious food and better prices.

I rate West Indian Flavor II a low 2 out of a possible high of 5.

Tried to come here to order some food and I was disappointed, there were only a couple staff working both the cash and putting away food and they were both a bit slow and getting things ready. I waited in line for nearly 40 minutes hoping to get served along with others still waiting for food. I eventually walked out because of the wait but also because they staff was handling money and food using the same gloves so that was a no for me. Very disappointed as I wanted to try the food

The food is great. ORDERING AHEAD IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. You may have to wait a little until the food is ready.
