Small sushi & udon spot in the UMD Baltimore medical center! Unexpectedly great and would recommend 🔥
Really great food for a hospital cafe, and shockingly very fairly priced. Loved the salmon poke bowl especially, the salmon nigiri and the ramen gives quite a bit of pork for only ~10$. I was so happy to eat here every day after giving birth in the hospital instead of having to subsist off of hospital food.
I like their bowls, but they give a very small amount of rice, which is an unrealistic portion. Every Thursday, I would get their salmon bowl. However, two weeks ago, I ordered the same thing with white rice, and the rice tasted rubbery. It didn’t have a natural rice consistency, which made me wonder if it was actually real rice or something else like engineered rice. I’m not sure where that rice came from that week, but I haven’t been back since as I am disappointed by that experience. The workers are nice but they could be a bit more welcoming and friendlier.
Best poke bowls and ramen around! Wish they had a brick and mortar place outside of the hospital-maybe Howard county-hint hint. Eat there as much as I can and have never been disappointed!

It is the basic sushi place you need it to be. The seafood rice rolls were 6.29, which was big enough for a whole meal for me. They have Itoen teas and other high sugar canned ones. On the Togo side they had mochi, 6-10 pc sushi rolls and little green tea cakes.

The service was great! The representative was knowledgeable, flexible, and patient. There are great options and platters. The price was reasonable and discounted 25% on Wednesdays. Unfortunately the sushi was dry and bland. The chicken was great!

I have visited Yoya Sushi several times while at UMMS downtown campus. It is a nice change from the cafeteria everyday. I have enjoyed the sushi, poke bowls and the ramen. Each of them taste very fresh and delicious. The sushi is prepared in advance, but the bowls and ramen are put together as you order it. I had the Ahi Bowl today and it was $12.99 not outrageous as others have stated. The ahi was delicious and the toppings and sauces were perfect together. Be sure to check out the cold case, there are usually all types of Asian delights waiting for you. I will surely return.

Haven’t had too many attempts at the other meals, so this is more based on a fave which is the ramen ?(all variations) along with an order of sushi. The sushi never fails to deliver, however there is inconsistency with the Ramen: During later hours, I’ve experienced the ramen proteins are less fresh and a a little cold, lowering the overall temperature of “hot” soup - and you have to let it warm up for a while to get it back to 100%. So it’s better during the earlier hours of the day when it’s super busy. All in all, I definitely recommend the Ramen and Sushi together with a little soy sauce to make it slide down nice ?

What a rip-off. Staff acts like customers are being served in a Russian gulag, food waaay over priced, and they want to charge for every little thing. I asked for siracha sauce, which they serve in a micro cup and they wanted .50 cents! There are many better options in the hospital including the cafeteria.
The food is good, but the website states that the Don-Buri special is until 2 PM. Each time I go, they seem to be out of the Don-Buri by 1:30 PM. I wish they would adjust this, as it is pretty misleading and inconvenient to walk over to find out they are out of the Don-Buri special.
The poke bowls are great. I've gotten the Ahi tuna bowl several times and it is great. The sushi is very good too. As far as atmosphere it is in the hospital so nothing fancy but quick service and reasonably priced.
