“I took the wife to The Local Restaurant for our date night dinner. This was our first time here. Surprisingly, parking was somewhat limited for a surburban location. Fortunately, they offer valet parking service. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess and immediately taken to our table. No sooner, our server came and gave us a run down of the night's specials as well as some of the menu items. The staff brought out the free corn bread. I loved it, thought it was the best ever. Wife thought it was too sweet. We ordered the French Dip Bao Buns for appetizer. It consisted of shredded steak in a pita covered with a horseradish sauce. It had good flavor. Didn't need the au jus. For the entree, I had the Steak Frites. The steak being a prime rib cut was tender and juicy with a nice sear on the outside. We both enjoyed the generous portion of tasty truffle parmesan frites that came with the steak. My wife had the Duck Confit with Crab Fried Rice. It came with 2 giant duck legs. The duck meat was tender but the miso glaze was a little too salty for our pallets. The crab fried rice lacked flavor. Crab meat tasted fresh and not fishy tasting. I think I enjoyed the meal more than the wife. We both agreed that the portion sizes were very generous. You definitely will not leave here hungry. We also agreed that the service here is excellent.”

“Clean inside, went on a Tuesday so no problem sitting for 2...bloomin onion was delicious as usual and the steak was delish....only issue was it is a little more expensive than i remember...our meal was $75 for a glass of wine, app and 2 entrees.”

“Great pizza and sandwiches for whole family. Been dining here for many years. Husband's favorite is the lasagna. My favorite is pizza. Extended family and I met here after a demanding, sad occasion. After a family member's wake, felt the need for community connection. Though this occurred previous to COVID Pandemic, restaurant still keeps its neighborhood charm - longtime diners like me know what I mean! Thank you so very much for updating your dining options, along with outdoor seating plus always sharing your wonderful smiles!”

“Came for lunch. Our waitress was really nice but brought out food all at different times. Had crab dip, she-crab soup, shrimp and grits and crabcake platter, everything was delicious. Unfortunately almost every bite of crabcake had shell in it. Told waitress and she said "that's what I've been hearing", then told manager and you would think they would comp something at those prices but didn't offer. Tacos should have 3 per plate instead of 2. Still plan on coming back though as food was 9/10.”

“Great food although on the pricey side. Portions were a bit small but nice presentation. Wine pour by the glass could have been a bit more generous. One diner's glass was sticky so sent back and instead of pouring a new glass of wine the same wine was poured into a new glass. Did not sit well with the table of patrons (and the wine was the most expensive on the menu by the glass).”

“Great experience for the family. Food is very good and the service is exceptional. My wife and I brought our two kids (6 & 11) for the 11th birthday. They were extremely helpful in getting us started on the hot pot and barbecue. The kids loved the server as she was friendly, helpful, and charming. Highly recommend.”

“How was Bacco? Bacco was great! The new two-for-$17 menu is a DEAL. You get your choice of app, mains, or desert. We opted for the calamari and the tuscan panini, both were excellent. Servers Ali and Becca made it extra cheerful and manager Mel at the bar always has helpful recommendations. Bravo, Bacco!”

“As always, Enrique was very welcoming & helpful with advice. The starter of sliced potatoes with light cheese sauce was tasty. The fried whole red snapper was lovely & moist. Snapper has a lot of small bones, so be prepared to separate the flesh from the bones. The Peruvian dessert Mazamorra Morada was very different with its fruit marinated in cloves & purple corn syrup. A very very tasty & interesting dinner. The service was excellent. As always all the tables were clean-as-a-pin & laid out with colorful woven tablecloths from Peru.”

“It took 30 minutes to have a server assigned, after that good service. Food , as usual, excellent. We sat in the bar for the first time, combination of live music and general noise level made conversation difficult. Renovation and decor are beautiful. One of our favorite places to dine in Abingdon.”

“We used to live in the Forest Hill area. We are currently north east of Forest Hill. After trying all the local pizza places we asked my husband to pick up pizza from Hickory on his way home from work. It's worth it!”

“I went to Prigel for a make your own ice cream and farm tour event and it was so cute! One of the things I love most about my social circle is that we will always find something off the beaten path to do! The make your own ice cream was a fun experience where we were given a little guidance then left to our own devices, i would absolutely do it again but i'd leave out the pretzels. The farm tour wasn't much of a tour as it was someone leading us to where the cows were grazing and leaving us on our own. Afterwards we got a ice cream flight to try then wrapped up the day. Its a fun mid day activity and I plan to go back for some of the other DIY events.”

“Found this place while in Harford County attending training for work and got the #Clubhouse sandwich for lunch. Quite tasty, although a *tiny* bit dry (glad I also asked for mayo) and I would've liked the bacon a little more crisp. Otherwise, it was good, definitely worth going back for a revisit?? The fat kid in me also got a cupcake, because of course they're on display right at the register. It didn't make the pictures though, no need to ask why lol”
